Hi friends!

It's been a whirlwind of a first week on Steemit. I have so much to learn from this incredibly intricate platform, not only from a content creator's perspective but also so much about the crazy world of cryptocurrency!

As a sort of "content challenge" for myself, I've decided to round up a list of my favorite posts here on Steemit and Dtube. These posts will be, primarily, my incentive to read, watch and learn! I think consuming other peoples' work is so important, not only to growth here on Steemit but also to make you better at your own production.

Without further adieu, here are my favorite posts from this week on Steemit and Dtube.

5 Posts That Caught My Eye This Week

1. BRUH - A Steemit Exclusive Novel! This Author Says Forget Amazon! Chapter 1: Meh. The Day Ms. Sandy Quit by @gatorlynne

Uhh, is it considered nepotism if I include my mom first? Either way, I think it's so cool that she's publishing her next novel, BRUH, directly onto Steemit. BRUH follows the story of Ms. Sandy, a teacher who walks right out of the state test and quits her teaching job of 23 years. Even I don't know what's next for Ms. Sandy, but I'm pretty excited!

2. Just a little fun while dying up this walk up by @mellisaramirez

This video of Mellisa doing her laundry is one of the funniest things I've watched in a minute. For some reason, her chucking the bag straight down the staircase really got me.

3. LIFE IN A MOVIE #VLOG | GOING AFTER THAT PERFECT SUNSET and a little bit about steemit by @syndicateframes

I am super impressed by the video production on these vlogs from Syndicate Frames. If you're interesting in travel or pretty scenery you should definitely check this one out.

4. Cryptocurrency Is The Opportunity Of A Lifetime And STEEM Is The Model Going Forward by @taskmaster4450

Like I said before, cryptocurrency is really an uphill battle for me. I know very little about the crypto world or financial matters in general, so it really helps to read content here on Steemit that makes things easy to understand. This blog from taskmaster4450 had me SO excited about the future of this platform, more intrigued with every word!

5. The Internet Of People by @prettydecent (that's me!)

I was really excited to be able to share this personal, nostalgic essay about my lifetime on the Internet -- and even more excited by the response from you all! I'm really looking forward to turning this into a video essay for @dtube soon. :)

Also happy that you liked the content!

Have a great day! :)

No problem, thank you for sharing it!!

Sure thing! :)

I think it's smart that your mom is writing on Steemit instead of Amazon. Amazon is supersaturated with writers, plus many use cheap or at least cut corners to write severely subpar work at $2.99 a book - glad to see shes being an innovator - I hope it rewards her well. My personal interest in writing leans toward Steemit being a much more ideal place for people like her than amazon.

I totally agree!! I think this platform offers so many opportunities for writers it's crazy. Hope it works well for you, too!
