I'm no expert, but as far as I know, if you're the original author of the content, you're free to re-post it on Steemit.

I have done this with content from my Popcorn Lobotomy Blog, and certainly nobody complained.

Initially, they did ask me to verify I was the original author, so be prepared for that.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. What i'm confused about is if google will penalize my website by simply copying and pasting the article from my website to Steemit.

    I couldn't advise you on that. I guess it's possible it would detect that as plagiarism or something. Hopefully an SEO expert will come along and give a more definitive answer.
