TSU was a social networking platform that paid people for getting views on their posts. It had some really nice features for people that like photography and images. Their layout was nice for looking at lots of photos at one time. We could post information about our images, but people never seemed to make long posts - a couple paragraphs at most, sometimes one line, sometimes nothing at all.
We got earnings for the number of views -- it wasn't much, but metrics sure get people going. It gamifies everything and it's funny how much a penny can incentivize a lot of effort! It had some nice features for transferring money to each other, including to verified non-profit charities that maintained their own pages there.
TSU folded in early August, without any prior notice, after less than 2 years of being out there. It's amazing to me how tight the community was, and how positive it was. Everyone wanted each other to be creative and let loose with what they enjoyed. Folks have been trying to stay connected as they explore different platforms that value and pay for original content.
With your great photos, you would have fit right in! : )
I had a post on tsu too. My tone was different tho, it was more aimed at finding a home for the many ex-tsu users, many of whom made tsu a home away from Facebook. Tsu halted and it became obvious that many users on there just wanted a home for their posts where they can keep their dreams alive in dream-bits
You're welcome. It will be interesting to see how many former TSU users come over here. There is some good discussion going on in our TSU Veterans facebook group. And I've met some of the former TSU folks on here because of this post.

Ah well it sounds like Steemit should welcome TSU users with open arms. Thanks for being an ambassador! And thanks for the compliment.

It was hard to lose that connection with people we got to know over months and months by making simple posts on TSU.
