8. Steem Price Update
Before reading commenting I always read the other comments on this post and I always dislike most of them. Lots are copy past from comments on other posts and other are just do not anything to the information @penguinpablo provides us. Real pity. I do not want to offend the ones who did wrote genuine comments like @rhyscn or @kuboskeey or the other who did post a genuine comment, when I was writing this one.
Why does almost nobody notices that for the second day in a row we do have less than 1K new users, shouldn't this be increasing due to the facebook scandal. Or that there was a rather big decrease in casted votes.
Keep it up @penguinpable, cause some of us are really absorbing the information you are giving us!
New accounts are approved manually in batches, and do not reflect the actual number of people who signed up for steemit accounts that day.
Steemit's Alexa rank has been slipping a lot, do you think it has anything to do with Google's crackdown on cryptocurrency related things, which really translates into Google's fear that decentralization threatens everything they stand for?
I don't think the lower Alexa ranking is related to Google's crackdown on cryptos. I think the price of Steem and cryptocurrencies in general has a bigger impact on the use of Steemit.com.
Well, that would make sense, and do you think we will ever get to a point where people use Steemit as a writing platform first, and if the price of Steem is high, and they get paid better second, or will the "what's in it for me" factor always win as it pertains to Steemit?
The number of daily active users seems to be staying around 60.000, but nice growth from november 2017 untill now. Did this number hang around 30.000 before november last year?

Activity wise our post count is looking stable around 175k daily after staying about 150k, nice to see :-)
we really need to increase the active users, that number hasn't moved in a while
The problem is that each day more accounts become inactive then new one are active on Steemit.
There could be 2 reasons for this. 1. Because lots think that Steemit is an actual get quick rich sheme and are disappointed that it requires lots of work. 2. People are not taking the time to actual post quality content due to the low value of Steem.
Well both are wrong! But we all know that :)

I'm going to have to look at this a few times to wrap my head around it, still figuring out steemit lol. I think a barrier to entry to some people is lack of understanding of how it works, I know a lot of people that opened an account, made a few posts, and had no idea what to do next and went back to focusing on youtube/facebook. If someone could point me to a good beginner tutorial I will share it on youtube, facebook, and other social media and hopefully reach out to some people that may be hesistant. Thanks :)

We are seeing a significant drop now due to a report written saying Binance to be heavily regulated by Japan. CEO of binance said it is not true and that they continuously have dialogue with the government. Author says otherwise. Do you have any more info on the validity of the story? @penguinpablo
