Where do you get the stats from?
The cool thing about the blockchain technology is that everyone can look/download the steem blockchain and do analyses on it. @penguinablo is probably doing that, getting the data from the blockchain and give it into some graph software.

We're kind of trading sideways and activity seems to lag a big on the weekend, which is usual for the summer. If Amazon will truly start accepting BTC in October, I think we'll see a big bump.
I love the way you present the data, it's very helpful. Interesting to see daily number of users slowly trending up but posts down. I'm really anxious to see something from Ned with a more detailed roadmap and dates.
Cannot wait for a really good nativ IOS/Android application. Would love to hang out at steemit.com on mobile.

It varies over time. I think the lack of a clear plan from @ned isn't helping. I'm a big supporter of steemit but the original goal of having others build platforms hasn't worked out, steemit pivoted and started enhancing their platform and said they would build a mobile app too, but progress has been slow and a real project plan hasn't been shared.
