9. Steem Price Update
Another informative job , thats great keep sharing
Thanks for your update! Looks like Steemit goes into a stable periode. The last days there is no massive increase nor lost of adoption. I think this is good, it creates a new fundament on a higher level. There can't be a hype all the time.
The price chart looks also positive, I see a double bottom at the 11th of Juli where the 2nd bottom is higher. This could be a trend reversal. Is this the bottom and are be seeing a good buy opportunity here?
Yes, a period of solid growth. I agree with you, although I'm not so sure about the price. I think it highly depends on what happens with Bitcoin around August 1. If Bitcoin falls down in price, I expect the other cryptocurrencies to follow. There might be volatile times ahead, because of Bitcoin's scaling issues.
The uncertainty around BTC could have a positive aspect for other cryptos, though. Some voices on the web recommend to leave BTC until the outcome of the changes is known. And since BTC bugs are strong believers in crypto, I assume they rather go into another crypto than into a conventional asset.
Granted, Steem may not be their first choice, but as its price is currently low it may attract some of those BTC "refugees".

One question: if Steemit goes to million active users and let's say each one of them produces 1steem/day. That's 365 million Steem per year. This is just an example. Much more Steem would be distributred but doesn't that mean with 1 billion steem 2 to 5$ price would mean 5$ bil market cap. What's more interesting, it could happen in less than a year. This is mindblowing.
What we need is not just the statistics, many forums I'm on have the similiar statistics. We need "friendships" and better user's engagement on Steemit. Not "nice post" and other stuff. We don't need Youtubers milking their AdSense profit even more through Steemit linking like some of them are doing right now. This network could be the best thing to happen since the internet, or it could go down so easily.
Steem has an inflation rate of about 9.2% at this moment. It is decreasing over time.
The amount of new Steem that is being created each day is independent on the number of users on the platform. If we have millions of users the amount of Steem to be distributed each day remains the same.

It's not only the price of Steem, but nearly every cryptocurrency has lost value over the last few days/weeks.
As you can see in this chart, the current price of Steem is still a lot higher than a few months ago:

So what does the future hodl? I am banking on continued growth. More people entering crypto. More people joining the experiments. And why not bank on Steemit. It's like Reddit but actual money.
