ATTITUDE IN MENTALITY

For every path you choice there is another you must abandon, usually forever. Joan D vinge. Personality-A personal attractiveness or interestingness that enables you to influence others. The complex of all the attributes--behavioural, temperamental, emotional and mental--that characterize a unique individual. Charles m. schwab once said that “personality is to a man what perfume is to a flower”. We are all born with a unique genetic blueprint, which lays out the basic characteristics of our personality as well as our physical health and appearance…and yet, we all know that life experiences do change us. But the question is who are you?

Who are you?

They say style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality and being confident is the key to life so then who do you presume you are? What does your personality speak about you? Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you. Do you hide under the shadow of pretence? What comes to the mind of others when they behold you? You are no bird and no nest ensnares you, you’re human and you have a free independent will.

Where do you fit in?

It is often said that if the shoe fits, then wear it but is that the answer? What is the right crowd for you? For Clothes may disguise a fool but his voice will give him away. Do you feel happy or you are you in the habit of playing along? Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, and their passions a quotation; is that what it has come to be for you. Where is the person inside you? Have you lost it that you can no longer get it back?

Do you think about what “others” say? Does it define you?

Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everyone I’ve known—chunk palahnluk. Has this over time come to define you? We know what we are, but not what we may be. Have you paid much attention to this that it’s what you care about? How do you see the person it has made you become? We can spend our lives letting the world tells us who we are: sane or insane, saints or sex addicts, heroes or victims. Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our past decide our future, or we can decide for ourselves. And maybe it’s our job to invent something better. Your physical appearance-perhaps it’s impossible to wear an identity without becoming what you pretend to be. Dress in the way you want to be addressed, is this a metaphoric joke? What about the looks of our politicians, are they addressed by their looks? What about drug dealers, scammers, and human traffickers-how do they dress? Do we see them for what they are by their dress? Take our country Nigeria for instance, our terrorist and cultist how do they appear? Does their dress tell who they are?

Attitude in Mentality

Our sense to this things define not only our idea of things but our inner minds too which transform us. We exhibit different behaviour to different ideas and situations but our ability to reason in all direction before we act makes us capable to comprehend and understand more. Dressing like a saint doesn’t make you a saint. Often we say it’s the inside that shines out, how then can we explain the actions of our political leaders? Or our actions to matters that favours us but not others—can we say the inside shines out? We exhibit different reactions as humans but seeing something as wrong because it seems so to you is not a way to help in this trying times. Remember to the person it is rational but to you it’s irrational as philosophy teaches. Nigerian faced with multi-faceted challenges does not need baby mind but needs great minds with great reasoning capacity that are able to reason not only within the box but outside it.

I hope this touches us and give us reason to think differently from what people would expect.

Credits to good life, attitude and character for the lovely quotes.
