Yeah, you heard me right!
Now I understand that HARD SALAMI is not what steemit is all about, but HARD SALAMI certainly does make it great! What better way to show the big difference between steemit and other online platforms. For us, HARD SALAMI is a difference that you can taste!
Want to know why? Check out the HARD SALAMI video!
HARD SALAMI: THE VIDEO
WHAT IF I DON'T WATCH VIDEOS BUT STILL WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE HARD SALAMI?
Don't worry, @papa-pepper has you covered! It's just another thing that makes steemit great! Basically, I am half of a team, and my teammate is @mama-pepper. I like to do stuff, and she likes to research, so often that works well together. I'll try to get something done, and she'll research exactly what I should do to actually get it done.
When she was researching about #homesteading and #food preservation, she came across some videos, including this one.
I took note at the time, and then moved on with life. After all, at the time this was just some video on YouTube by some people on YouTube, and that was about it...
BUT THEN STEEEMIT!
Oh, right! Steemit! Trust me, steemit changes everything!
Some time later, something amazing happened! Something incredible! Something... well, steemy! @Mericanhomestead signed up on steemit! Before too long, a post about HARD SALAMI came out.
Since steemians like to meet up, it really wasn't too long before @mama-pepper, @papa-pepper, and the @little-peppers were over meeting up with @mericanhomestead. Interestingly enough, they blessed us with a gift. Want to guess what it was?
Oh yeah, none other than HARD SALAMI! How cool is that. Personally, I've never met up with any YouTube people. I've never asked anyone to bless me with the gift of HARD SALAMI either. Yet, because of steemit, there we were, and it was happening.
As much as we wanted to eat it right away, I thought it would make a good post, and that we should document us enjoying it. I still think that it is so amazing that meat can be stored without refrigeration, but I too had been brought up without understanding certain things that were once common knowledge.
As you could tell from the video, this HARD SALAMI is so amazing! However, without steemit, we would have never gotten to try it. Remember that!
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:
proof-of-HARD-SALAMI
Until next time…
Don’t waste your time online, invest it with steemit.com
Go vegan...
You are one weird cookie man! But he, I read this because I love Salami...
Bon appetit!
I actually like Salami, but this stuff looks like it was found in a ancient Egyptian tomb. I think I pass on that one. :)
Maybe we could have a taste testing and possibly come back with a post on the learning from those that make sausage for the rest of the steemit community. It might be fun plus help out our brothers and sisters on Steemit!
That looks delicious @papa-pepper as long as it is meat :-) here is South Africa we love Biltong and droëwors also a way of storing meat for long time .Most probably the most eaten snack in SA
Looks amazing! I would love to try it some day! Thanks for sharing!
Only a pleasure @ papa-pepper
Now that’s my kind of hard meat
@aquahelix just love Biltong as well ;-)
Nice one @louiscpt . It has been a while brother are you well? Meet my mate @aquahelix a fellow South African, you going to partake in the next selfie challenge mate? Cheer$;)
@craigcryptoking all good in the Cape just need rain , Yes cant wait for the next one going to be in the Cederberg mountains for a couple of days after Christmas and will have no reception so might get bombed out if it starts before the new year ;-(
I suspect it may brother... Try make a plan ;)
There’s an “African” shop here in Vancouver that sells biltong — very, very tasty!
Maybe for your next contest you should giveaway hard salami instead of sbd hahahaha Since it’s sooo good?
Or better yet, both! 😆
Hmmmm.... BOTH?
yes both!
See if you have more AP now.....
ROFL!
I do not! I went a little promotion happy there for a while!
Very cool! I guess my first introduction to the idea of "meat without refrigeration" was when we lived in southern Spain when I was a teenager... and there'd be all these hams and sausages hanging up from the rafters at many restaurants and bars. And then I learned that some of these hams (and the super hard salamis) were from free-roaming pigs and often would hang up there for 3-5 years to cure... and this was some of the most amazing and flavorful "hard" ham you could possibly get.
It is some really interesting stuff, and kind of shows how misled we have been about some things. Thanks @denmarkguy!
HARD SALAMI makes the world GREAT!
LOL! Thanks @steemitqa!
@papa-pepper, would you like to share hard salami for the christmas?
Barely have any left.... maybe next year?
Alrit
I love hard salami but this does not look very appetite :-) maybe due to colors in the video .. i believe you on your word it is nice :-)
Yeah, it is really tasty stuff!
Dam... is your first name Jack or something...?
I guess that's the beauty of homesteading, you learn to never shy away from making something yourself, even if you already know how to do it. Your way more likely to just go for it and get i done somehow.
Would love to add some of that salami to one of my Manwiches!
Hi papa pepper i saw your post about SOLA, i'm also new there i just found out about it 😀
Wow! hard salami brings us steemians together! whodathunkit?
Bon Appetit.
It looks very tasty. And you look happy after you've tried it. Thanks to you, I now also know that meat can be stored for a long time without cold.
Now, I just have to wait for the Biltong post!
Biltong is another way to preserve meat. Similar to jerky.
Salami is a great way to preserve meat. Especially when flavored right.
Or Pepperoni, and then make home made pizzas in the winter, because all of the ingredients can be kept in cellar.
Very cool!
AWESOME SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL! Just wait, you'll be seeing more of it! Might even have to do a photoshoot. I dabble in modelling, you know?
Is there anything you CAN’T do?? #legend
Wow! I love hard salami, but had never seen truly hard salami. Fascinating. I can only imagine the flavor. Is it jerky-like?
Very, very tasty and well seasoned. Not sure if I'd say jerky....
That looks delicious bro. thank you for the full audiobook payout. I am still waiting for Chapter 40 payout as well 22.5 SBd. i appreciate it all bro and all that you do. imma send it to bittrex straight away lol God is good, and Steemit is just mind blowing
I was wondering about that. I'll get with it on the next opportunity.
Thank you bro. All goody
Will Hard Salami make everybody slur their speech at a Christmas party?
Are you going to make any of that Spicy Salami?
I love a good Italian sub. Mmmm
I don't know where you live but it looks lovely! I love "wild" spaces
