Where do you see the future of Steemit?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

So what does the future hold for Steemit and all those that choose to login and participate?

I don't know where it will be in a few years. I hope that it becomes so much more as we participants in this global community all take a moment and think about the impact we want to have on this community and maybe just, maybe this world with this platform

I think that the future could be a great one. Though when i look through the news feed and see a litany of posts with content of little to no value or just plan spam or  begging for upvotes, I can't help but feel a little disappointed in the fact that good posts become hard to find in a fog of memes.

In my opinion we should be considering Steemit as a free platform not unlike a hybrid of Facebook and Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), where we the content creators have the opportunity to publish quality content on a daily basis, adding a depth to this ecosystem with every post.

Should we really be giving our upvotes out to those that post memes and no content. I see daily posts that contain some beautiful photos and these people don't beg for votes, they just upload something that brings them pleasure and I think in the back of their minds they hope that others will draw from that image a similar feeling.

I love seeing posts that give out something of the author like recipes of food they have cooked or even their daily undertaking in the world of homesteading. I think it is great that people can post their daily achievements and put something of themselves out into the world, it is kind of like a digital pay it forward.

I have been a bit lacks of late making posts, just because I don't want to post something that I am not happy with and also I guess as I recover from my health scare I have had other things on my mind.  But I have been taking time to read those posts that have some substance because for a moment it gets me out of my own head and makes me think with a wider lense on the world.

I guess what I am saying is thank you, Steemit community, for adding some extra and varied substance to my life.

Let us know below what you think the future of Steemit will look like for you below.

Hopefully it leaves facebook for dead :-)

That is my hope also. especially as the world evolves toward these newer technologies

Steemit is growing fast. But since bitcoin is down all the cryptocurrency are down. This is a very challenging time for all cryptocurrency.

It is indeed a challenging time. I hope that soon the numbers will go back into the green and back to a less stressful level on the graphs and charts. :)

The world is going to shift to digital currencies soon.Since steemit is a digital currency so it does have a future too.
Now when it comes to quality content it is valued at all the places. The content with little or less value may get temporary benefits but ultimately it will. So,I feel the quality of content will improve on steemit with time and also steemit will do better with such content.

I think you are correct. I hope that it moves towards a level of content that we can all be proud of.

That is very true
