Is Steemit a Gamers, Programmers, Techs and Crypto Junkies place?
This are the visible post on steemit day in day out. Gamers and programmers seems to always have field days and be the ones enjoying all the fun on steemit. Their minimum upvotes ranges from 100 upward while rewards are mouthwatering.
You hardly or never see a Whale upvote new members post, except if you get an article off some websites on emerging Altcoins or a new Computer game that earns you faucet on some website as the case maybe like peerplay and others.
So, what does it mean to be on Steemit if we all have to blog or post about some Altcoin reaching ATH or some VLOG/Games talking about how to trade your tokens for cash in the cryptocurrency market? Seems to me creativity is not well appreciated on this platform.
Have read some breathtaking blog from some dudes somewhere in the corners of the World which attracts little or no upvotes. The upvotes hardly reaches 20. Though hard work often pays is the generally acceptable statement but not always the case here.
Diversification i believe is the bedrock of Blockchain civilization, i came up with the phrase anyways. What user @A does, shouldn’t be the norm for user @B to user @W, user @X and user @Y leaving user @Z in the dark and wondering if signing up on Steemit is not the wrongest of idea.
High Reputations and High Steem Power users often post about not coming on Steemit for rewards but to have fun. Now ask yourselves this; Why is plagiarism getting rampant on Steemit? The Honest answer will be; to get a huge fat reward like others, after seeing huge upvotes and reward accumulations which intimidate the shit out of people.
I rep Steemit Nigeria, West Africa and i challenge all the Whales and Dolphins, Sharks if there is anything like that on Steemit to show more interest in Minnows post; not just #Introduceyourself posts, FYI people cooked up stuffs about themselves to get noticed more on the trend.
This is my Vent post for Steemit, hope it doesn’t get on your nerves Whales, i did it once in the past on Facebook where some features are not available in Africa.Fellow Steemians minnows,if you feel the same way and not afraid of getting flagged
looool. Too sleeeeeek!!
Indeed super cool
Das ist echt super :)
In my opinion, Steemit tries to lure in with the promise of rewards and that is why you see so many crypto posts or developer/programmer posts.
This about this: I am a Microsoft Windows Software Developer who simply stopped after a number of years. The developer and new app posts are paid a lot but nothing in comparison to the amount of effort put into developing and getting right in a world of constantly evolving Moore's Law increases in technology and the amount of education and time spent in the development of an application or computer program.
Most people do not understand how books are written let alone have any idea how a computer program is written and yet the program is used as if it were magic, the book is read as if it were magically produced with the wave of a wand when in fact a dedicated genius if not hundreds or thousands did an absurd amount of leg work to produce it.
When one succeeds in writing a post capable of generating a huge reward and maybe a hundred posts, then one will receive that big reward and maybe not even then. This is the writer's life.
Very true,i couldn't agree any less.
I agree. Upvoted. We need more creative content.
Thanks buddie, glad i have your support!
I try my best to be fun, unique and creative on subjects. Just be YOU! I see many creative awesome posts but not trending 😜
I know! It will pick up in due time, right now its just crypto heads. Once the general public gets hold of it them majority rule will take over.
Fairness is not any easy task to achieve.
I agree. As a new kid, I will not be discouraged 🤓 The geek in me is loving the concept!! Thanks for the words.
I agree!! We should start a new tag! I can write a post about it? Let's make up a nice tag! seriouscontent-trail, newby-trail? Something like that? Need to think about it! But let's unite!
edit: newby-alert?
count me in @pinkielady.....Full Steem Force behind you
ok, let's just start by asking newbies what tag is good. Do you have any idea? Thanks!!
#steemrookies ......... #nontechyposts ....... those two sound lame but i will come up with nice ones later i know
hahaha, same here. So, I'll first ask others to respond as well.
let' s see their responses......
Its a fair point. I think the only answer is to recruit people that are nit just gamers or alt coin people, but the kind of regular people that will read and post about other things. BTW I followed ;)

I hope so too, Thank you. X
Warm welcome
Thank you. X
I wouldn't worry so much about trying to get whales to look at your posts. The more important long term goal would to be to post content that you have been successful with on other social media sites. If you have had success on youtube, facebook or instangram then you know all the work it takes to get noticed. The more people that notice you the better off you will be.
It's more about BOT voting.Just didn't go into details.....
Steemit has a set of Guilds who look at newbies, but once your rep goes above 63, most of them are not helping anymore. I see whales voting on posts in the new channel, but you must pay attention to the time when sending in your post, ie these needs to be the times for these whales to be online and cast their votes. Some of the whales follow other lower SP holders with their vote bots, giving their votes based on the curation of the one they follow. I personally put really hard work into Steemit, spending most days hours on it, creating posts, commenting, curating, figuring out the topics for new posts, searching for them, researching the topics etc etc. This got me some of the bigger/big SP holder to follow me, some of them regularly upvoting my posts. I also have 1 or 2 smaller SP holder who regularly upvote my post and giving me with their upvotes also the upvotes of the Whale vote bot that are following them. I also have some minnows with a large follow base supporting me by ReSteeming quite a few of my posts. It gives me sometimes moderate success in post reward, from 10$ up to sometimes to 40$. But I can tell you, this I reached by hard work! With good commenting to Dolphin and Whale posts, I get regularly 100% upvotes, which can main between 1 and 3 to 4$ for a single comment and vote. But again, you do not get them that easy, you must put the effort in, create extra value, get in to interaction and discussion, sometimes ging deep into arguments and such. I also think it is possible to create interest in other topics, but you need to find the Steemians who also are in those other topics and start communicating with them and maybe come to some agreement how to handle and promote new categories. I really wanted to mention this on behalf of the Shark, Whales, Dolphins. They may seem a bit on their own island within the Steemit community, and some are probably not seeing any bridge to the rest of the community, but others have their ways to give something to the smaller SP holders. Keep in mind, we have only a few Dolphins and Whales, and we have many Minnows.
Your response made my week already @edje .i value it.
i Joined in March 2017 , but none of my questions gets answered in comments and on chats.Figuring out when this Whales and Dolphins come on steemit will be my Priority now
I'm active since early January, done more than 2200 post and comments, more than 150 original posts, read gazillion posts. Lot of comments like comments I gave you. Additionally, I researched Steemit, research cryptomarket and that gave me further information to form my opinions that I than use in some of my posts and in some of the discussion with others on those topics. With all that effort, I got around 260 followers, most of them newbies and small accounts; Nice for sure they follow me, but not really rewarding in terms of $ rewards. This morning I posted a post some of the Steemians on the platform would get 75-100$ for. I got 28ct. But I still continue! Trying to have FUN in the first place, and try to find ways to get noticed by the larger SP holder. But Steemit is not about $ rewards only, and I think should not be THE driver to be here, since then you will quickly burn out and leave... It is a long road to success, and really really hard work.
Will adhere strictly to having fun and not looking at the rewards, though they are motivational but i gotta stay focus.
I've been there, still am and instead of venting and complaining I shook it all off and kept on going. Built my own community who follow. Never focused on whales. They will come and go anyways but your fans stay as long as you are kind.
Put your energy into valuable messages and one day ....Baaaaang
That's the idea @mammasitta
That was some vice venting, my friend! I am brand new here (joined about 10 minutes ago), so I appreciate all input and words from experience from people who have been here longer than I, which at this point is pretty much EVERYONE!!!
You are most welcome @jmaccabeus . hope you did your introductory post.
