This was an informative post but there is one thing I would comment on re: randowhale. I think the info provided is lacking certain info..For example, there is something "wrong"- or at least unfairly unbalanced on a supposedly decentralized platform - when the owner of a bot service (berniesadners) uses the SP power of bots in large #s to CENTRALIZE votes..i.e., intentionally harass and downvote the most popular posts into invisibility, thus reducing their rewards ...while at the same time upvoting themselves into trending... so it appears as if "the crowd" is objecting to the targeted blog...Also at the same time, I have noticed this pack of bots -there are many that seem to be associated bots of berniesandrs- use the same language to intimidate-Best example is accusing consistently popular/trending bloggers of "RAPING THE REWARD POOL", and using terms like "SHAME" in all CAPS- Pretty unique and offensive scare tactic that they all use... Its a little NAZI/mafia style intimidation and propaganda.. and it is happening on Steem, on the EXCELLENT blog of @haejin. This (@haejins) blog provides free technical analysis and free classes on cryptocurrencies, assisting his followers to earn LOTS of $$ while learning the Elliott wave techniques...
So I will say that perhaps the above post is just a little misleading (because it leaves out the very damaging way in which this bot service is used) , and that if this centralizing behavior is allowed on a decentralized platform then it is no longer decentralized...
You are viewing a single comment's thread from:
decentralized just means that it doesn't exist on a single server owned by a single person thus meaning that steemit is still decentralized. Actually more correctly it means that it doesn't have a single server that supplies all the supply all the other servers with info (i.e. centralized server) Like DNS servers are decentralized because pretty much anyone can start one up but that doesn't mean it also doesn't have aspects of centralization. For instance, each DNS server that is withing 300 km of me (220 miles I think, not actually converting) is owned by a single company but its still considered decentralized.
Now @berniesanders does with his voting share as he wishes but considering there are also witnesses (not certain if you even know what a witness is since you don't know what decentralized is) that are coming forward about @haejin (@themarkymark to name one) about him taking between 6-8% of the weekly reward pool. Oh yeah, and that around 80-90% of his profit (from the last 22 days now I think it is) has come from a single user.
As for your remark on the posts being "EXCELLENT" well @haejin basically predicts everything will go up in value (something my brother in law, that didn't even know there were other cryptos than bitcoin until a couple nights ago, could tell you) and is basically the same crap repeated over and over again. It offers absolutely nothing to the steemit community. Do I agree with everything the sanders bot army does? No, but all the fuss being brought over him going after a single user (with support from witnesses whom initially though it was a bug in the system saying he was earning so much but nope he actually was) really makes me support this crusade. Anyways as flagging says "Disagreement on reward" for the top reasons and him (and many others) to downvote means that they are doing nothing wrong. So please, for future posting, learn what decentralized means (as it isn't what you think it means) and don't upvote your comment to the top.
You are a member of his sockpuppet army so what are you talking about? Sorry but I am on to you. Being a witness does not mean you are not in on the scheme, as Markymark actually gave himself away already (and so did you, whoops!). You all give yourselves away, although some are more slick than others.
I know what decentralized means, and when some entity takes over a decentralized system, guess what, thats centralized.
Why did you flag my post, was it inappropriate?
Do you even know what Elliott Wave technical analysis is? It takes years of study, and @haejin is making a lot of $$ for his followers. You are only concerned with the fact that he is cutting into your massive share of the reward pool through the scheme that Bernie/you and friends are running. So obvious its nauseating.
I flagged it from $1.26 down to lower it in the comments. As for being a part of bernies army? That is a very ad hominem.
No a decentralized entity cannot become centralized by a single entity taking over a certain portion of the system, centralized means that it has a central point that supplies the rest. Facebook has a central server that supplies the rest of its servers around the world with the information required, steemit is served from multiple (50 servers and for the exact number of nodes you would need to talk to a witness as that changes) meaning it can't be centralized. Anyways main reason for flagging was disagreement on reward.
Personally I do not give two flying fucks what @haejin is making on steemit, because I am not here for money (unlike some) and instead I am here for the same reason why I am on reddit, its fun to be a part of a community of similar minded people and to meet people all over the world. But continue with your arguments accusing me of being a bernie puppet, it just makes me laugh
Glad I made you laugh, you made my day! No its not ad hominem, I have seen you on downvote lists of Bernies which were completely attacking the blog simply for being popular enough to keep making it into trending, (with the accusation of raping the reward pool)- thats what this is all about. And why do you try and deny that you are attempting to make money? Why else would someone be a part of a bot network? Why else do you pay for upvotes? Please, correct me.
There absolutely is centralization of the reward pool taking place...Ok your turn, go ahead and ramble away with a condescending explanation of why you are right. Why dont you flag me while you are at it?
I pay for bots to upvote this post to do a second post that analyzes the ROI for people. For other posts, I will do it because then I can help others out more and increase my say in a vote of something. And yes it is ad hominem, you completely disregard things because you think I am some puppet or bot of berniesanders. As for my flags? I flag posts that I disagree with the rewards on, spam, or comments that add no value and are upvoted super high by someone with no reason to upvote.
If I were attempting to make money then I would either be HODLing or (more likely) I would be liquidating SBD into something more versatile (ETH, BTC, etc) that I could go to an exchange with and cash out. As well, a bernie bot wouldn't have to pay for a 25% upvote from radowhale
All I can say to the ad hominem business is that when I see you downvoting @haejin, and then stating it is because his content doesn't deserve the rewards it gets, thus supporting it getting downvoted to invisible status...
There is a huge demand by crypto investors for bloggers who do accurate technical analysis, because it gives them a little edge in the shitstorm of coins out there- Not only does @haejin fit the bill because he is making them huge returns on their investments- but it is also FREE for them to get the advice, and performed by a seasoned professional who teaches them how to do the Elliott wave analysis for themselves. There are people who spend $$thousands for courses on this and get half the content. His accuracy rate is higher than most paid TA services. He has earned overwhelming appreciation for the gift he provides.
You (and others of like mindset of "hey there is a parade we know nothing about- lets shit on it!", rather than providing anything of value ) came to his blog soley because you dont agree with him getting the rewards that he gets. These are the only people who downvote him, not his actual followers. It reminds me of bussing strangers in to vote or stir up trouble. Its interference- driven by either greed, jealousy, or some other negative emotion. So if you are not in any way associated with the Bsanders entity (I doubt it simply based on a 5/5 rating for randowhale, lol- give me a break) then maybe you should consider not thinking or acting like him either.
Anyway, better to cultivate positive emotions.
I just looked at my steemd, back 2 weeks, and I don't have a single flag on any of haejins crap. I flagged your shit post (which was a shit post btw) so I don't see what flagging you are talking about. Like this comment thread is pretty much my first time talking about it and considering you follow haejin like a fucking moronic religious nut (that thinks those analysis are good, they aren't, trust me) and yet you accuse me of being a bernie bot. If his posts contained more content and were not so similar thatit almost looks like a preprogrammed bot wrote it (seriously) then I wouldn't care. The fact that witnesses (more than 1) were concerned with his earnings shows how much of a shitshow is happening and still you comment on my thread calling me a sanders bot, with no evidence. Yes your entire argument against me is ad hominem.
