To make a bid for a post to be promoted I transferred at least the minimum of 5.0 SBD to @buildawhale and in the memo section I put the link to the post I wanted to promote. Not every post gets promoted in their daily digest but you do get an upvote for the post from @buildawhale assuming the content is original.
