Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, gave an interview to Laura Shin at the Unchained Live event, in which she made various comments about other block chains. The BreakMag agency has compiled some of the opinions expressed by the young developer in a publication on Thursday, March 21.
Shin asked Buterin if he was worried that Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency market, would lose its position in the ecosystem with the appearance of other projects, such as Polkadot.
To this, he replied that the start of the new projects is usually infested with optimism, as is the case with the Bitcoin side chains. He also stressed that when the term appeared, the idea was handled that Bitcoin's side chains " were going to kill Ethereum ", however " in reality only Bitcoin's side chain works ".
Buterin concluded the idea by saying that he definitely does not care.
When Shin asked him if he would be upset if another blockchain took the initiative in moving Ethereum, he replied that "it depends on what blockchain ." He notes that Ethereum had friendly relationships with projects like ZCash and even Ethereum Classic. But if Tron overcomes Ethereum, he affirms that he will have " lost some hope for humanity, not nearly all ".

The report points out that Buterin thinks that the members of the Ethereum community should criticize other members, in order to promote learning.
In addition to this, Shin touched on the topic of poorly paid developers at the Ethereum Foundation, which has financed very diverse projects. He points out that despite this, the main developers of this blockchain continue to earn less money than those who work in a startup. The young man replied that " if no one complains, he means he is paying more ".
They also talked about whether the price of ether was really important. Buterin replied that this idea came from pointing out that Ethereum was a different project. However, he said that " projects will be better if prices go up" .
