SBD Prices Going Down Everyday. Should we be worried?

in #steemit7 years ago

There's this time when the value of SBD is going down day by day and every day. This sure is a great time for people who want to purchase SBD. People who are willing to buy SBD sure should go for it. But if you hope that SBD is going to go back up. Do you really think so?

I'm actually thinking of exchanging my SBDs for Bitcoin but the price fluctuations are like killing me from inside. The value of 1SBD when I started here on steemit (about two weeks ago) was around 0.0008 which has now fallen down so much and the current value of steem as I write my post is 0.00042072. This is really a very big fall for SBD.

There are some people who actually think that it will go back up and that we actually need to have a lot of patience. (I too think that it will go back up) But there are some people who think that due to the large traffic on steemit, the value of one SBD is going so down and that it may go more down. This downfall sure is going to effect all of us sooner or later.

While there is one part of me asking me to trade my SBD for Btc in the today's price but deep inside I know that the price is going to get back on track soon.
Do suggest what you think about this downfall... And whether I should go for buying Btc at this time or not.

invest in altcoin

Really? Like, will it be that profitable?
Should I actually invest in it? And if yes, then how much SBDs? Its just that I'm new into this cryptocurrency world. Everything seems to be really puzzled up to me.

Wanted to hold but a great investment in altcoins as @vegeto also suggested.
Its a gamble, invest 50% since most altcoins are now recovering.
STD will do recover soon.

Okay. So you say that I should invest 50% of my earning on altcoin? Is it available on bittrex?

Yes please, there are lot of altcoins to trade in, which for some reasons i cant tell you which of the altcoins to invest.
Some i can mention are

Litecoin
Stratis
Ethereum
Digibyte
Siacoin
Vergecurrency

And whole lot on Bittrex

Wow thank you so much. That sure is a big help. I'm thinking of investing in siacoin now. Ive seen that siacoin is very down at this time. I just hope it goes back up. Although I'm also thinking of just holding my SBDs as of now so that I can trade them later. I think that I'll just hold them. Thanks a lot for your advice and for commenting. It means a lot to me. :)

Sure, thanks,welcome :)

It's important to consider what SBD is supposed to do - in a perfect world, SBD should stay at $1 almost all the time. It's designed to be a "stable peg" - so if a business wants to sell T-shirts and Steem is fluctuating, they can charge SBD instead to get the right price.

After Hard Fork 19, it appears that the Steem ecosystem is course correcting itself to bring SBD down to "proper" levels. Of course none of us who are holding SBD want to see it go down, but it is good in some ways for Steem as a whole.

I can't say if it will go back up or not - but personally, I would be more inclined to invest in Steem - transferring my current SBDs into just normal Steem - if my goal was to invest and watch my money grow.

Oh, that's a great suggestion and I really appreciate you for it. As I was more indulged into SBDs, I never thought of converting them into STEEM or steem power. Well, I've not actually watched the fluctuations of STEEM, but is it profitable to convert SBD into STEEM right now?

I'm thinking the same thing too. But, I will trust my instincts and wait for it to go up again. Besides, I believe SBD has a lot of potential 🙌🏻

So, you prefer to keep it in SBD and hold it till the time you get a big return on it. Well, it's good. But the only worry I have is how much are we supposed to wait. I mean, if it is about an year that SBD will go back up.then most of the people would have sold it at a loss. Well, leta hope for the best.
