I have convinced my mother to join. And going to get my grandpa on here too. Soon after going to focus on my uncle. These are all individuals with great content to offer and they are all invested in cryptocurrency. (because of me)
I spread the word about Steem any chance I can because the more users we have, the more the network can grow. However, we NEED to solve this scalability issue soon!

It is way too much for me to get into the technicals for the entire issue right now. but in summary, STEEM servers are requiring too much RAM and the amount is growing daily. Eventually it will cost a few hundred a month to run a STEEM node easily. Check out some of the posts in #steemit-dev sometime for my clarification. Gotta run for the moment though!
It's probably worth it, if you are a witness, and make many times that per month?
That's the point though, it won't be profitable eventually. Or at least only profitable for very highly voted witnesses.
