The SBD is a very important part of the Steemit system for a couple reasons:
- It allows the system to pay posts more. Imagine if your posts were only making half as much money. This would be true without SBD. Now granted, Steemit could pay half liquid Steem instead, but then dumping Steem would lower the price
- Many common people just aren't very familiar with crypto-currency but understand the USD very well. Being able to see that your post is making $5.35 is a huge psychological plus.
- SBD is designed to be stable. Yea it's having problems right now, but implementing my idea would help.
Thank you for the detailed answer. I thought I replied 2 hours ago. I dont even got a saved draft of what I wrote, really strange however:
I remember when I got really psyched, when my first post made about $3 and when i found out that Steemdollar are even worth more than USD. So I guess it is good for starters.
I think I might just be at a point where I should look more in the techinical side of crypto and Steemit in specific. Steemit is the first thing I ever mined. Can you point me to any data/post about the technical relation of Steem and SBD, Senpai?
I would read:
That get you started.
Much to read. Very Informative. Steem Dollar deserves name because it is a debt like the real Dollar. Exactly what I wanted. Gonna read more. @neoxian good guy confirmed!
