Nice dog, and hope this helps. It is all about exposure, and people who follow you. to get many votes and comments, people have to find you first. Write a lot of articles, a lot of work for sure, but worth it one day. My wife is from Russia by the way. I am now following you to see your progress. and have given you an upvote

your first tag was supposed to be life but you wrote llife
and my friend has been on steemit a bit longer and he just writes max 3 articles per day and is slowly building an audience with a mix of posts

I completely understand your worries! I see more often that people look only on the title and an introduction and don't read the rest of articles :( - see Twitter.
I noticed that very often people are convinced they understand all political issues, but in reality, they read only 140 characters of tweets - they just don't bother to even open the links.
And here is the same - people are looking for a picture and short text - just to take a look and give upvote. If there is something longer / more valuable they don't even bother to scroll down.
In a long run, I believe that posting high quality values is much, much better. I'm new on Steemit but I see a huge, huge potential in the platform, and if you will be perceived as an informative, nice and intelligent person who add a lot of value here, you will get new followers exponentially :) But these are just my hopes! :)
