Daily Vlog #1
Welcome back to my page my follow Steemoligist!!!! It's been couple days since I uploaded a video. I'm not gonna lie since I have been having success on his platform it's getting harder to stay at my job. Right now only thing keeping me at my job is my wife and the fact that having a job gives you some sort of security.
I have been a street dude all of my life and I paid the price for it with four years of my life in prison. So I never really had a job for an extended period of time. The job I am at now I have been at for three years!!!!! That's a personal record for me. So I don't want to lose what I have worked hard to accomplish. I went from being and unemployable felon to a being a boss at my job. Ever since I got this promotion it's just been one big headache. Not to mention my promotion came without a raise. But everyone before me who had this position made more than $20/hr, but I guess I'm not white enough for them. Or they probably think I desperately need this job. Thanks to Steemit that is not necessarily true anymore. Since my first week of payouts I have consistently earned more on Steemit than what I got in check from work. I'm not talking about one week but every single week since I started Steemit.
I know the right thing to do is stay at my job but this decision is a battle that won't end and is only getting harder. I know that if I was forced to do Steemit full time I will rise to the occasion.
Guy in the RAV4 @defjukie check him
I hope you guys enjoyed these short words vlog!!!!!
Until the next post
I commend you my brother. I don't wish prison on anyone. I know how it feels to be caged like an animal, feeling hopeless. I always tell people to follow their hearts and have a game plan before leaving a job that is keeping the lights on. I agree with @stackin i would do both until you have a proven track record on Steemit and its paying the bills. Continue to give your followers that raw unfiltered content. People really need to see the truth and struggle people go through on a daily basis. Im so tired of the bloggers that try to sweeten their circumstances to try and make themselves look more superior.
I truly believe your blogs are good enough to make you successful on this platform. Just continue to stay on that right path and being the provider for your family. #StayBlessedKing
Thanks for your kind words!!!!! This actually cheered me up have a great day lil homie!!!!! I'm gonna check your page out!!!!! Keep grinding!!!!!!
I am humbled that i was able to bring some joy into your day my brother.
keep it cool for a little longer bro
Just want to say "Thank You x3 @mrviquez I found you via @craig-grant, and have been watching your vids since day one. You truly have inspired me to start blogging and vlogging about my life. Everyone has a story to tell, and like a mentor once told me... "A Life worth living, is a life worth recording."
It's almost as if I know you, because I lived in Buffalo for 2 years. So when I see you out in the neighborhoods and doing the smoke and chills, it's like being right back in Queen City.
Still trying to figure out the platform, but as a stroke survivor on disability, you've given me hope that I can earn income, along with shareing my life and my message,
Thanks again sharing your story, being an inspiration and making my days with your vlogs Bro!
As Always...
STEEM ON BABY!
I know how it feels to be in a stressful job and be under valuated. I think you just have to find out what's the best thing to do in your case. I think whatever you decide will have pros and cons. Leaving the job would give you more time with your loved ones, but you'd be forced to be 'on the job' all day too. I've been reading and following your work here and I think you're one of those people who could do anything you put your mind to! You've come a long way and maybe this here on steemit is only the beginning. Whatever you decide: good luck and all the best on your journey.
Thanks and I appreciate you watching my content.... Thanks for your encouraging words.
I would do both, when you start making your desired amount on steemit, then go full blast and you can make your decision then.
As an Entreprenuer, you take risks but 20 years ago when I decided to go full time... I found job security wand and is the biggest risk of all time.
At due time, you'll make the right decision 🙌🏼💪🏼💯
Try and not let quick money..sway you...if you fall out of favor of the big boys.. that give you that push...will you still be getting paid big dollars? May you continue to thrive! and find success...on your own without the big boys giving the push..bless up!
some quotes like nothing lasts forever and don't put all your eggs in 1 basket...after steemit will be something else.. tu sabes? what you learn you can take with you anywhere :)
I can understand wanting to leave your job and the frustration of getting a promotion without the pay of your white colleagues, that's fucked!
That being said, even with your success on Steemit..perhaps it's wise to ensure yourself a comfortable nest egg before leaving your current job.
Keep it up, keep growing and you'll go far! All the best to you and your family!
dude, that's awesome! i love your vids; they seem really sincere and may i say, humble. i actually hope to be able to make the same move someday. one can dream right?
"benzo, what's all this crypto thing you keep talking about?"
i try to explain, then crickets and a change of subject. try the salmon...please.
stay tuned for my introduction post...
p.s. what's up wit smoke & chill? chance of comin back?
ESTEEM ON!
Thanks for the comment who knows when I will do another Smoke&Chill but I will still smoke when I record...lol
excellent...looking forward...and ill join ya lol
thats life bro, i got a payrise and promotion one time, what they didnt tell me was with more money comes more effort, more of my time , less time with my family. In the end i was working like 60-70 hrs a week inc work at home which equated to minimum wage when i compared hours v salary. Hope you work it out :)
That's a tough decision. If you didn't have a family and people who depend on you, yeah, I'd say quit that mother fucker.. but when you have a steady flow of cash coming in from that job and you have people who depend on you and that cash flow, that's when it becomes tricky. Whatever path you choose, just make sure happiness can follow. Because to me, the two things that matter most in life is family and peace. If you can find that perfect balance of wealth and happiness, you got it made.
Hell, maybe look for a less stressful part time job and have a part time secure cash flow and then your Steemit flow.
Anyways, peace man, looking forward to the remaining chapters and then the older years part of your story!
Like always thanks for your comment!!!!!
By the way i sent 7 SBD to poloniex last night and it still hasn't gone through
Yeah I wouldn't send anymore, until they get this shit fixed. I'm looking at twitter right now, and there is people who have been waiting 19 hours so far. Glad you just sent a little over to test. Hope they figure their shit out. They are kinda screwing over a lot of people.
Yeah I hope they get there act together soon... They are making me miss a major trading opportunity.
Follow Your Heart My Dude! God Bless You On Whatever it Is You Decide To Do!
nice post steem on buddy! Steemit is a great chance for every one around the world! I have got the same plan, maybe in a few months i am able to do this for living!
I quit my job back in January (with proper 2 week notice), but I do all sorts of online work to keep my income diversified. That is key to succeeding on your own, making your own money, is to diversify where it's coming from.
So I get income from YouTube,Affiliate Marketing,Brand Deals,Crypto trading, Steemit posts, and any simple small job I can find in real life (ex. watching someones dogs for the week)
The one thing I want to tell you though is when you are out of your job you'll have tons of time to do what you want. You're creativity will flourish and you'll start finding more ways to make money on your own and Since I quit my job, I have studied so many things, and taught myself skills I've always wanted to learn but never had time and NOW I feel I am worth so much more, I'm so much more skilled and valuable to any future employer, if I'm not using those skills for myself.
Anyways, good luck man!
Word I feel you on this. Thanks for you comment maybe one day I will have the balls to quit like you did!!!!!
Stay with your day job-- Then when you're making enough dough.. You can leave the day job behind!
Have a great day man!
I would say save up at least what you make in three month. SeemIt is a new platform and crypto is very volatile. I think your post about the foster care system is what really gave you a push. People like seeing a real point of view. Also remember that it takes about three months to power down so all you would really have to live off of is SBD.
@mrviquez -The key is financial freedom. Business owners pay less in taxes than employees. What does your mentor think?
I'm not going to chime in and tell you what I think you should do about your job (re: leaving it) but I will say that I truly believe that whatever you decide to do the universe will open up to support you and create the life you want for yourself. I also hope that you find the support you need in family, friends and associates that will make whatever journey you take more enjoyable. In the end, you are made of greatness, talent and an all powerful energy that is capable of anything when given the right opportunity and environment.
Congratulations @mrviquez! You have completed some achievement on Steemit and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
