My first experience of the Steem blockchain was via Steemit and has been my go to app for blogging since then.

There are now myraid apps for interacting with the Steem blockchain from Steemit, Steepshot, Zapple, DTube, DLive, Busy etc. All but one of these apps has been developing and
improving on their respective platforms only Steemit has not.
There is also no incentive to use Steemit other than that there are no fees to use it, whereas Busy have a bot that will upvote users given they attach a certain tag to their posts, which is why i no longer use Steemit and have switched all my blogging activity to Busy.org.

If users attach the busy tag to their posts they will receive upvotes from the Busy bots, as far as i can tell there are two bots one of which upvotes users with <500SP and another that will upvote users with >500 SP called busy.pay which is worth more.

And this is why i never post here, its a big waste of time, i know they said its "Not a Get Rich Quick scheme" but only one of my posts has ever received an upvote.
Steemit is offering a quick way for content creators to find and make their own audiences.
You didn't get that as you only follow one single person. You probably thought (and it's a simple mistake that is commonly made), that you will get that audience offered for you just standing still.
A successful article means that you need to spend documenting 20% then 30% writing it and then 50% promoting it. If you think you did all that write to me and we can further chat on how to improve your "reach".
It's that simple.
Don't despair, it's fairly easy to be successful here once you get a little mentoring.
