I recently had my first experience of using a pretty cool trinket on Steemit called a voting slider.
|Source|
There are other ways to access voting sliders outside of the one on Steemit though i have never put them to any use as i never really had much need of one until recently.
My Voting Slider.
A condition of being a part of the Trevon James curation trail is that my voting power stays above 90% and as i like to upvote good comments and content outside of the trail of which i have been doing at 100% VP it can be difficult to stay above my voting threshold.
To be able to use the built in voting slider one must have more than 500 SP and as i recently retrieved my delegated Steem power i am now able to put the slider to some use, so leave a good comment on any of my posts and i will be sure to give it an upvote.
If you are interested in joining the Trevon James curation trail come on over to the Discord.

Isn't trayvon still being investigated for fraud and his roll with bitconnect? Why would anyone want to join his trail? So he can use your VP to more effectively grow his funds to scam with?
Honestly I'm confused why anyone would like that guy.
is this a fraud?
Byteball is not. I don't know why my reply ended up replying to you, I tried to reply to the main post. Sorry about that.
Byteball is not a scam/fraud.
Trevon James very well may be.
imo Trevon has been nothing but a benefit to the Steem blockchain, i and many others like me benefit from being a part of his trail, i think more whales should have a curation trail tbh as it motivates minnows to post good content rather than just spam which is good for the blockchain overall, thanks for stopping by @netuoso...
Seems like large voters have trails encourages users to try to get their vote. This creates a type of vote-buying atmosphere. Most of the rewards on posts are from BidBots. Trevon was promoting the absolute shit out of Bitconnect. Whether it was all his idea or he was also scammed I'm not sure. I would assume he was kind of duped as well..
He is a whale, as you mentioned, that should be a role model for Steem minnows. However, he does not even participate in witness voting, one of the most important aspects of the Steem ecosystem. If he was so wise and educated, he should be expected to know the importance of witness voting and those that are doing what they can to help the community.
I watched a live stream video of Trevon one day where he decided the restaurant he was eating at did not deserve to get paid for serving him. So he just got up and walked out. What a wonderful person. And he willingly recorded and broadcasted that to the internet. Makes one wonder what types of behavior he exhibits in private.
I guess I am glad you are getting some type of benefit from this guy, but he is FAR FROM GOOD and most definitely should not be looked up to. Steem already has a lot of great influential whales that are not just out to scam everyone out of their money..
We both, you and I, think spam is useless on the blockchain. But Trevon isn't doing anything to prevent spam.
I agree that there will always be people who just want an upvote but those people will be reprimanded which in turn dissuades any future spamming/shitposting he is effectively on the front line in the war against spam.
As far as him being a good guy i think we will just have to disagree on that one as i think he is a stand up guy.
Let me ask you an earnest question.
When you upvote another user because their contribution is quality, do you first look at their Steem Power to judge your voting weight?
No, you don't because THAT is not curation. What you are involved in is a voting trail and it is contrary to the intent of curation per the whitepaper. If I am minnow, I would get a 1% vote from the trail even if my post is quality. That is not curation.
It would be better if these minnows upvoted each other's quality contributions and engaged rather than this. Every vote going to this voting trail takes away from that imho
I’ve been curious of what it looks like. I just discovered it in Partiko app since my sp is below 500sp and it’s a great way to get points in Partiko.

I should really give this Partiko a look, what do the points do?
Right now nothing but you’ll be about to use them for upvotes. It’s kinda like busy.org where they upvote your post either way.

Interesting, thanks for the info @batman0916
No problem. I meant able not about lol

Is there a way to turn off the ridiculous signature?
I don’t see a setting. Maybe that’s how the boys know who to upvote cause anyone could use the tag

Congrats on the slider, much easier to manually vote outside the trail and keep your SP up...happy voting!
