How to bring up your comments to the next level!

Lift up your comments.png

Comments are an important factor in every social network, but I would say that on Steemit, where it stands right now it's more important than on other sites.

It's the part where we show others that we participate with their content and like I tried in one of my last posts, other Steemians are making the same using comments to try to create a dialogue.

Some people swear that they earn more followers by commenting as by posting. Well, I don't know if it's exactly like that, but for sure it increases your visibility.

But there are some high coveted Steemains for certain reasons. I believe that the main reason is that because of their Steempower.
Of course, when you have a whale as a friend, and he upvotes you; I think I don't need to complete this sentence.
Imagine you would have two, three, four or more.

And this is totally understandable. The game is working like that, let's face it.

Flood of comments.png

Maybe you know this situation: You found a post you really like, and you want to share your opinion with the author in the first place but maybe also to other users who commented on that post.

But you see your comment all the way down.

The probability that your comment will not be noticed exist.
And my friends, I can totally understand if a Steemian is not responding to every comment if there are too much.

Improvements.png

I want to show you how you can increase your probability to be seen when there are lots of comments.

Try to put a picture in your comment.

On the desktop, it looks like this:

On the mobile version like this:

I am sure you noticed this already, but maybe you were not aware of the impact it could have when the author is scrolling through his replies.

Notice that the comments in the Replies section are shown in chronological orders. The newest stays on the top.

Don't use just a Picture!

Create a thumbnail! Like the user @enazwahsdarb does.

That was the first time I felt the effect of these comments.
More when it is personalized. This is high class in my opinion.

Look how it looks when you use your phone:

Amazing! This could lead other people to look through your profile, and maybe you are interesting for him. You never know.

There are many free tools out there to create beautiful thumbnails, but I know that this also work that's why I would do this only be times when I think the competition is huge :D

I hope this was helpful for you.

Makes sense, although a good author will always check their replies and 'vote order' them appropriately so the best comments are at the top of their blogs.

Pictures are a nice touch although I prefer a bit smaller what I've seen recently.

Another method is to use the eSteem app on your favourite post of the day and hope that good-karma and his minions give you a boost!

Cheers!

So is that how you get those boosts? :D Is it from using the app?

Yep! 1 a day I think when using the eSteem app.

Thought it would be interesting on this post discussing comments 👍🏾😁

Ahhhhhhh so this is your way ^^

This is the first time in months I've used it actually, although it's not really much work for a little daily bonus!

So if you make one comment a day, is that comment going to get a vote? :D

I think you'll get @good-karma and his trail once a day if you post/comment/reply using eSteem.

👍🏾

Great Comment ^^

When I joined Steemit, for the first time.I thought I can make more money by just posting story. But I read a post a while ago.I understood how fool I am!Your guide will really help me.From now I will try to obey your guide.

Thank you.

I'm glad that it helped my friend :)
But use it wisely ^^

Totally agreed with you @modernpastor..🤗

Thank you my friend :)

Yes I agree, dont use just the picture. It's very annoying. Ask some additional questions about the images or the text. :-)

I have to say I am quite the opposite. The comments with a big picture are not appealing at all for me. Usually they come with a nothing saying "nice post" or something like this. But quite possible I just have been "unlucky" with the ones I recieved as your examples prove there can be real comments with a picture

Of course, if you get it that way then it's for nothing!
This just posting a picture for sake of posting a picture.

I also received some of them.
No, I mean really you feel and see the effort.
The steemian I mention in my post, didn't just make a personalized thumbnail, no he wrote also an interesting response.

This combination I found interesting.
But I totally agree with that posting a picture with nice post is fore nothing.

No, I mean really you feel and see the effort.
The steemian I mention in my post, didn't just make a personalized thumbnail, no he wrote also an interesting response.

I appreciate that my man. Thank you for your kindness :)

I agree with you, i'm more on the content of the response.though sometimes having pictures on comments makes it more visible and "eye catchy" as they say.

This wonderful post has received a bellyrub 12.73 % upvote from @bellyrub thanks to this cool cat: @modernpastor. My pops @zeartul is one of your top steemit witness, if you like my bellyrubs please go vote for him, if you love what he is doing vote for this comment as well.

Love this. The pictures can look great sometimes, I agree. I don't agree that everyone should do it though.. I think the original person should carry on with their mission, but the copy-cats need to be unique :)

Upvoted and Resteemed!

Hey my man. Thanks for the mention :)

I am glad I was able to leave an impact. I am noticing many more examples lately of people using my ideas haha. I suppose that's also a good thing :)

Great on you for putting some real value out there for people to grow from. Keep up your good work!

Yes it was :)
And when you see that some people are doing it that way it's a confirmation for you.

Thanks for stepping buy and leaving a comment :)

But not all the comment we receive is appropriate or adds value to the mother content. Most is done by the bots and half of it is an annoying photo and lastly the spam comments a follow me or up-vote me comments. With regards all these, I strongly agree with you @modernpastor.

I know what you mean my friend.

This kind of comments is not what i meant. These are really annoying and disturbing. And I agree with you. @flipstar mention this also.

Know I mean the unique ones where you feel the effort which was putting into it in combination with useful sentences:)

That's really cool for me :D

steam-train.gifBeing seen seems to be the hardest part on steemit right now. You are doing a nice job of it. And @enazwahsdarb is killing it.

Exactly true...commenting plays a vital role in promoting oneself. But it is much more effective if u r doing it to something worth it, something you really know of and something and somebody who interests you...

I wonder where you get all the ideas from. Great post. And secondly where can I create or find such pictures. Do you have a special site to recommend? Thanks for @doityourway.

Thanks for this kind answers :)
The Pictures I used are mostly stockphotos. I have to say that because of some online activities in the past I have a big portfolio.
