You ever struggle with a topic to post about? I do. I post in a number of different topics because that is how my mind works. If you look at my blog, I will have a singular topic for a few days, then I bounce to something else. For some of the technical stuff on global warming, which doesn't exist if you haven't read any of those, it may take a several days to gather the facts to back up my beliefs. Normally though it's more like something new comes to my mind one day and there it shows up in a post. No rhyme or reason, no thought behind scheduling these different thoughts. Maybe it's a bit of dementia starting to set in, I'll be 59 this year so who knows. It could be early onset dementia (my father has dementia) or alzheimer's (ran in my mother's family), who knows. Flip a coin, heads for dementia and tails for alzheimer's.
The last couple of days the posts were about tequila, not today. I have more to tell you about tequila, just not today. One of the items is about tequila liquors and another is about some of the other regulations on tequila. But not today, today's post is about nothing. Nothing can be a good thing. Everyone should try to embrace nothing every once and awhile. Shut the computer off, the laptop, cell phone, and tablet, all off. No television, maybe a little soft music in the background though.
Some of you are probably too young to have ever seen the TV series Seinfeld. It was a TV series about nothing. The series ran from from 1989 until 1998, 9 years of nothing. The show was about a comedian's life, Jerry Seinfeld, who is in fact the comedian named Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry, if you're reading this, don't get me wrong, I loved the show, watched it every week.
Maybe it was to make the point of the topic of the show, nothing, but around 1992, Jerry and George Costanza (another character on the show played by Jason Alexander) decided to write a TV series about, you got it, nothing. This was hilarious. Along with Jerry and George, Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Kramer (Michael Richards), and Newman (Wayne Knight) sat a bar for a comedy series that hasn't been reached since. Now remember, if you never saw it, the show was about nothing, just everyday life.
How do you end a post about nothing? You make a point. We each have an individual life that no one else has. We have experiences that no one else shares. We have seen places that while others have seen, not everyone has seen. If you are having trouble looking for something to post, look inside yourself and share. If I can write 5 or 6 paragraphs about nothing surely you can find something to write about or show everyone.
I often tell my friends and family that many times I go to the refrigerator and end up with a beer in my hand because I couldn't remember why I opened the refrigerator. By the way, did you flip that coin to see what I have? I'm getting to the point that I trust a number of coin tosses over what a doctor tells me. Just take comfort in taking advice from someone that may have early onset dementia or alzheimer's.
Now, what was I saying? Never mind, it was nothing.
Good morning. Just thought I would let you know I have nothingnothing to say. That would be a first Lol
Definitely old enough (I will be 60 in Nov.) and never watched Seinfeld....I know, probably a sin.
Mornings are my quiet time...nothing in the background. Just me, the dog and my thoughts.
I still have a list of topics and stories to write sbout that I made before my account was even active....just working up the nerve. Thanks for the inspiration...you might regret encouraging me to write!
Writing can be almost as good as therapy I think. A way to get your thoughts worked out.
Haha.
Same here brother, I've realised no need to try posting about a single topic. Post whatever catches your fancy at that time, otherwise just keep typing gibberish and hope that it makes some sense to someone.
Yep, everyone will never like the same article. You just try to find some that will.
