As a newbie to Steemit , my filipina friend @xylee is so discouraged and shocked about what happened to her account! Just 3 days ago she was so excited to her 1st content ever which was her "introduce yourself "post and got 72 VIEWS, 16 UPVOTES, 33 Welcome comments, Resteems and a Reputation of 33!
Just some hours ago her REPUTATION of 33 became 9---SHOCKING INDEED! REALLY, WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THIS TO A NEWBIE???
Today she wanted to post her 2nd content, it was hidden because of low rating according to the note ??? Who can help her on this? @xylee is very down at the moment. She is a good writer and I know that Steemians would love her style of writing.
HOPE SOME WHALES OUT THERE READING THIS COULD GIVE HER A SUPPORT!

If not for your help, I would've probably been discouraged to continue blogging here. It was an honest mistake but now that I have learned my lesson, I will definitely stay away from the steemit tag. I also hope too that she would continue....I mean , imagine those newbies who are so excited waiting for their accounts to get confirmed by Steemit and then this... first post and you´re downvoted! This is Hell for the noobs.
This post isn't really witness related. They were downvoted by @sneak for some reason. Visiting chat is a better way to find support for this than using the witness tag IMO. #steemitabuse

Yeah, it seems like @sneak is sweeping all those who use the #steemit tag, but what better way if he could educate a bit ... I am also new here... Other steem witnesses are encouraging to evolve not discouraging.

Yeh that's a shitty outcome, I can imagine how discouraged your friend is.
I think he´s taking his position too authoritative and who ever is crossing his way gets a downvote as what I´ve read in his latest flagging post for comments of others.
yes, that was @sneak because she used the #steemit tag for a post unrelated to steemit. This is his new campaign and it's dissapointing that he didn't check her profile, or leave a message or anything.
Can he just downvote without reading the content? I mean @xylee is very new and it was her first post on steemit. At least he could give an explanation to a newbie like her. That was very discouraging, other whales would leave a comment.
It is just another trial that we need to pass in our digital life. Nothing is perfect but our community will be stronger than ever. I voted up!!!

The guy who flagged her should just have left a message, considering she is new here, but he didn't because, well, let's face it, he's a bit of an arrogant ass and clueless about normal interaction with new users, or humans in general.
Fortunately, other people's votes got her reputation back up again.

Indeed... instead of just flagging and flagging, newbies are simply depressed posting their first content and get downvoted...it is simply bringing bad vibes to steemit like a havoc.

No one gets cheated. That's one of the upsides to Steemit ;the fact that it is open to all and quite transparent.
