RE: I Just Got Approval From Two of My High School Teachers to Work on Steemit During Class Time.

Sounds like you've got a great plan in place and a good head on your shoulders. Build your audience. Comment often. Interact. Share your content. It's the key to success here. And you should check out @theprophet0 - he's the youngest Steemit witness at 15 yrs. old. It's pretty cool to see young people come aboard and get a foothold here.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. I'll check out @theprophet0, and yeah it's really great to see more and more people my age joining Steemit.

Indeed!
I'm not young but I did spend a significant amount of time in the last year building up my following; lots of comments and posting content. And thanks to Steemit I was able to power down enough to pay for travel expenses and graduation gifts for two of my sons' graduation from Marine Corps bootcamp. Man, if Steemit was around when I was your age??? I probably wouldn't have to work anymore!

That's awesome that you did that stuff with the STEEM you earned. Just another example of the value in cryptocurrency these days. Haha yeah hopefully one day I'll have some sort of passive income stream so I won't have to work, and I could spend time with Steemit or music.

For music, here are a few people to follow: @verbal-d @steevc and @soundlegion. I know I'm missing a whole bunch of really good musicians. My apologies to them. Also, @luzcypher hosts a weekly open mic contest where you have an opportunity to win prizes! Check out the #openmic tag

Thanks, and yeah I've actually seen the open mic contest it's pretty cool. I've thought about entering a couple times and probably will next week
