Steemit Guide (Part 2): Achieving success in Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello Steemians!

Continuing the previous publication on Guide for Steemit (Part 1): Introduction, basic concepts and recommendations. Today I want to share the next part of this basic guide that I have decided to write to help all my followers and all the readers that come to my publication.

I want to leave, again, clear that many of the concepts and strategies explained here are from my perspective, and that they may not be entirely correct. Besides that there is no magic formula to achieve success, what is stated here is my humble opinion.

Image of my authorship

To begin ... There are many factors for a post to be "successful" on this platform. I have heard many times that many of my friends in Steemit, like me, spend a lot of time on a post that literally ends up with $ 0.01. So? Why if I spend a lot of time my post is not successful? Why other posts that are not so good get better profit than mine? Primarily for me, the following factors will be:

Quality content

Understand quality:
"Quality is that quality of the things that are of excellent creation, manufacture or origin. Quality describes what is good, by definition, everything that is of quality supposes a good performance. Everything that has a quality qualitative assumes that it has gone through a series of tests or references which give the guarantee that it is optimal. " Source

So ... A quality post should describe a topic in an excellent way. It does not necessarily have to be 100% original, but it must be properly structured, documented and reflected from one's own perspective.

Know your followers and their interests

You should also be clear about the audience that follows you, since it is vital to whom the information is directed, as well as the type of information, since there are more interesting topics than others. Then, by knowing your audience and the interesting topics for them, you can focus on what is really important.

You will not always be lucky

Not all posts are going to be successful, be patient. We must understand that there are many factors for this and that we can not control them all. So be consistent and do not give up. Try different topics, there are a number of interesting topics that may reach out to users. So invest time in researching and creating appropriate content, look for ways to entertain yourself by learning.

Correct use of tags

The way to get the users who do not follow your publication are the tags or tags, and you only have 5 to use them properly: be smart and consistent. The first label in the list is the main category in which the publication will be displayed and, after the post has been published, you will not be able to change it. To properly select the tags you are going to use, you can take a look at the most relevant tags in Steemit here. You should also take into account that many of these labels have specific rules and regulations for their use.

Publication schedule

Another topic very mentioned in my acquaintances: At what time I must publish so that the information reaches more followers. Well this is uncontrollable, but there is a tool that can be useful: Link. Just put your user, you expect to upload the information of your followers and gives you an approximate time where they have more activity. This is a very useful tool for you to decide what time to make your publication.

Community support

We must not forget: this page is a social network. That is, it is based on the interaction of users. Do not expect to get many votes if you do not spend some time in creating an environment of people to which you vote and comment so that then you have that "feed back" in your publications. There are also other options to promote yourself, for example, Discord channels where you can find healing equipment directly.

Last but not least, you should ask yourself the following question: do I like the Steemit platform and what does it consist of? Because if you're not passionate, you will not last long here and unfortunately you will not achieve success.

Thanks for reading my friends, we are in another post.

Greetings!

Sort:

#introduceyourself/#introducemyself

The “introduceyourself/introducemyself” tag is for creating one introductory post that tells us about you. Users are encouraged to use this tag exclusively for that, and not to reuse it.

Thanks for the advice, will make sure to remember them. I just put a lot of time into a post and it go $0.01 feels bad but hey I'm still new and I'm excited what Steemit has to offer in the future!

Don't lose enthusiasm, you have a lot to give steemit and sooner or later you will be rewarded. Greetings.
