Mainstream need to have a fundamental basic understanding what cryptocurrencies are and how they work. They think it is like paypal and I don't wonder. I try to contribute some explanations which might help 'normal' people to get confident with the technology behind cryptos.
Furthermore are there some promotions going on to advertise Steemit? Here in Berlin, Germany there wold be an immense swap to Steemit but i haven't met anyone who knows this platform. How about promotion-booths which on Festivals and fairs which introduce people to the platform.
