5 best websites for Unlicensed Images

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello, Steemit friends!

Doesn't happened to you that you try to find some good pictures for your posts, but you don't know if they have copyright or licenses? And it;s a problem because you don't know how or where to obtain them...
In this post I'll be talking about 5 web pages which in my opinion are the best option when looking for good photos and images for our posts.

I'll start by talking about my favorite, the one I use very often. I'm talking about [Pixabay] (https://pixabay.com/es/). This is an excellent page for unlicensed image search. Once you enter the main page, you will have the option of exploring, registering or logging in (in case you already have an account). Registering on Pixabay isn't really required to start downloading files. It has a wide variety of photos, such as illustrations, videos and vectors, so you will surely find what you are looking for. Personally, I recommend this page without any doubt.

Another good option is [Freepik] (http://www.freepik.es/). In general terms, this page is quite similar to Pixabay, although its strong are the vectors, so if at some point you need a vector to create some design that can serve you to include in a post, don't hesitate to resort to this incredible page.

On the other hand, [Public Domain Archive] (http://publicdomainarchive.com/) is an excellent page that is exclusively for photo search and has a fairly large and excellent photo bank. This page gives you a download option that is paid (I imagine it would be an option for unlimited downloading of images), although if you want to download photos for free there is no problem.

Other options are [Openphoto] (http://openphoto.net/) and [Wikimedia Commons] (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) which are pretty good options and can save us at any time. In fact, Wikimedia Commons has served me well in some posts that I have already published here in Steemit.

I hope this information has served you, and that you can improve your post with excellent photographs/images. It's important to note that even if they are free, it's ok to place the source of the photo because this pages make us a huge favor allowing us to use their images at no cost, somehow we have to give them something in return, right? ;)

Until an upcoming post!

Mae Rod.
