The Steemit Cocktail of the Month -- Emergency Edition!!!

"Making a proper cocktail is an art…"

Considering all the anger and frustration the last couple of days concerning the Hardfork.., and all the seemingly unknown changes -- rewards, voting, comments.., everyone here on Steemit seems to be.., wound up tighter than a two dollar watch!

And could use a good cocktail...

And as luck would have it, I received a rather well timed and much needed "booty call" last night from one of my favorite cocktail waitresses, Toni… She is a beautiful blonde woman, and we have a sort of "friends with benefits" thing going on for awhile now… When she called late last night, I was still a little wound-up, myself… She asked if I could come by the bar for a little after-hours adult fun…

When I got there.., there was still a very cute couple sitting at one of the tables way at the other end of the bar, the waitress (Toni) and the bartender (Becca). Becca immediately poured us a few shots of Don Julio Anejo tequila (my favorite).., and both of the girls, at the same time, asked what was going on…

The last time I saw them was when the whole "flagging experiment" started.., so when I began to fill them in on the new Steemit drama, they told me to SHUT THE FUCK UP.., and get back here behind the bar and whip us up some of those fancy cocktails we love so much!

When I got behind the bar, the two girls were talking amongst themselves, as my mind started to focus in on creating a brand new cocktail for us to enjoy.., I could hear them say -- "what the fuck is a hardfork, it sounds kinda sexy…"

They both wanted gin, so I grabbed the Hendricks gin, something with a touch of sweetness (not too sweet) and a little earthy… As the wheels starting spinning, the next ingredients came to me as if I was sitting down, getting ready to write a poem for my next post on Steemit. And what came next would be.., a brand new, completely original cocktail...

Ladies, gentlemen.., fellow steemians, I introduce to you, for the time ever --
THE HARDFORK!!!

THE HARDFORK

Ingredients:

•   2 oz Hendricks Gin
•   3/4 oz Green Chartreuse
•   1/2 oz Elderflower Liquor
•   1/2 oz Lemon Juice
•   7-8 pieces of fresh mint
•   Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne
•   Garnish -- cucumber ribbon

Taking into consideration all the elements the ladies wanted to taste on their very soft lips and delicate palates… I used the chartreuse for the earthiness, elderflower for the sweetness, the Hendricks -- because it has a cucumber essence to it.., but I still needed something to brighten it up and really pop -- the fresh mint.

Preperation:

•   In a mixing glass add
•   7-8 pieces of fresh mint
•   1/2 oz lemon juice
•   Muddle gently (if you muddle mint too hard it gets bitter)
•   Add Tequila, Chartreuse, Elderflower
•   Add ice almost to top of mixing glass
•   Shake HARD -- Shake it to break it!

Double strain it into a chilled coup (cocktail) glass -- Martini glass will also work if that's what you have.., top with a splash of bubbly -- Perfection!

This cocktail turned out better than I could have imagined.., so good we made some for the couple that were still hanging around wondering what the hell I was doing behind the bar -- they loved it.., and so did my girls…

After a few of them.., Toni reminded me why she called me in the first place -- The Booty Call, so we snuck back into the storage room for a little consensual, adult fun -- a quickie!
