WOW. WOW. WOW… What A Momentum Killer!
First, we had to deal with some half-assed experiment (no offense intended).., that seemed to punish people for creating quality, valuable content, that lead to them gaining a following for all their work.., which lead to some of the content creators taking some time off and some leaving. Then, things sort of chilled out, content creators got used to being flagged up the ass.., just because people liked their posts and upvoted them…
The price of steem popped a tiny bit (yes a tiny bit) and immediately returned to the 0.14 - 0.17 (not so good)… New users started to hop onboard, posts per day inched up and people were getting used to the flagging "experiment" and enjoyed seeing a few cents being added to their favorite authors when they clicked that upvote button (even me)…
Now we wake up this morning and see $0.00 next to all posts and a rep score of I think 25, granted this was a glitch and fixed in a short amount of time.., only to see whatever rewards you did have on existing posts reduced to practically nothing -- and no real explanation… Something could have been laid out in a post a few days ago, letting the whole community know (in layman's terms).., and be prepared for your rewards to be reduced to squat for the next few weeks, month, whatever -- a little respect for the people here that go to great lengths to produce content for this site.
How many times can this happen before the only content left is.., lifted images from google with a sentence or two, a shit load of memes (some of which are very funny, but still memes).., or just posts that obviously take very little effort. I just don't see how that is any good for the future of steemit…
We're all aware that the communication from Steemit Inc is lacking, to say the least (also not good for the future of steemit). I dig this site, this platform… I've had a lot of fun creating content, met some very cool people.., and have been exposed to some really, really creative quality content. And then to wake up to this shit show -- it's like getting kicked in the family jewels with a pair of steel toe boots (OUCH!).

This is the most frustrating, confusing and discouraging site I've ever posted on. The FAQ's must have been written by people way over my head, and don't want to waste my time posting, so I'm skipping town. Also, not an enjoyable site to read posts either. Tags seem to be useless for me (health - why not a breakdown such as mental health, fibromyalgia, migraines, breast cancer, woman's/men's issues). You guys have a lot of work ahead if you want to keep posters.
Sorry, that's my opinion from a long-time blogger/writer. :(
It is frustrating, I completely agree... But, I think in the long run we will all be able to laugh (sort of) at these times. Enjoy your getaway!!!

I'd like to think that the post editor being broken for a few days prior to the HF was our cue not to post anything. I know it saved me from any disappearing rewards :)

Oh yeah, Im totally used to smooths flags.., but being flagged because of a difference of opinion, is a bad road to go down.., Everyone here on Steemit should be able to have their own voice and not fear being flagged because they are pointing out the obvious.., and not just blindly being a cheerleader when they have their own opinion about the way things are going. Just another sign things have taken a turn for the worse...

I see lots of egos and cliquish behavior here. I also feel a lot of insensitive arrogance from those who can't understand there are different kind of people enjoying life without their computer codes and systems.

Disturbing a momentum with this BS interruption, feels like the dj has to stop to make an announcement that you can get your hotdogs outside of the club, repeating the brand 10x and then continue the party.
