RE: How I want to give back to the Steemit Community: Minnow Author Project!

in #steemit8 years ago

I don't mind these types of projects of course

but it's too little too late ... the whales need to take a 1 time action by upvoting 10.000 introduction posts fast, so all those people behind the posts get some more steem to play with, as right now there's not enough at the bottom, which is skewing the results

the whole idea of using votes to make good posts be found, as this stage isn't working ... that's just my observation

right now you got a tiny group of people that got too much steem, hardly anybody in the middle and then a massive crowd that's suffocating at the bottom ...

maybe in another 2-3 months it will balance itself out, in theory the system is designed to do so, but those whales keep at it; they think they do good by upvoting a lot of posts, but they're not getting the effect they think they're getting

I do agree, currently there are so many users that are unseen and have hardly ever made a cent on steemit. The whales have so much power, but not much time to upvote everyone. That's why I, as part of the "middle class", try to support the minnows and take some of the burden off of the whale's shoulders!
And you are right I think the system will probably be more balanced in a few months time!
