I tend to think the complaints are based around the fact you can pay for power. In a progressive society, this concept is frowned upon because "it's a way of the past". With that said, Steemit still is an investment opportunity and those who own a higher amount, just like in stocks, should have more control than others. Some people use their power to troll and in return, get a -17 reputation (not going to name names). Others use their power for good by being moderators for Steemit. Either way, it's their money, so it should be their choice.
