Er, here are some facts. He may have had some high rewards in the last week due to a generous whale, but in general he hasn't made much compared with some. Unfortunately some decided he didn't deserve rewards and flagged him. He's been one of the hardest working bloggers here and it's sad that he feels he can't stay

OK, if you switch that chart to posting rewards, you can see quite a spike. It's indisputable that he was one of the top earners recently and was pulling a lot in.

I'm not flagging anyone (except spammers/plagiarizers) and I like mindhunter too. But the facts are he did get a lot of rewards, and when they are dumped on comments like the "me too" ones, it's going to be bad optics and this is a pretty likely outcome.

I'd prefer more discussion about it and less flagging, but it is what it is.

I don't think his earnings were exceptional when others get hundreds for every post (I'll name no names). Mindhunter peaked at 18k SP, which is nothing special really. Other are getting dollars for self-voting every comment they do with some just posting single characters. That's real abuse of the system as there's no value to anyone else.

In his case it was a 'fan' who voted him up. Others have their own fans.

I'm wary of getting into fights with anyone, especially some of the whales who could deprive me of income.

We should have discussion, but some are just not interested.

"Mindhunter peaked at 18k SP, which is nothing special really."

This doesn't say anything about his earnings, assuming he was powering down. That's like judging someone's income from their checking account.

Not passing judgment, but it would appear it was more than just fans in this case.

I agree with your other points. I feel Jerry was very diplomatic with this post, and I felt it was a good start to discussion.
