Thank you for your post, I would have missed it if biglipsmama hadn't resteemed it.
To show how old and doddery I am, I can remember when people actually talked to each other, then, if someone spoke to you and you didn't reply it was considered rude and others stopped talking/playing with you.
I feel the same thing applies here if someone reads, votes and comments on your post then common courtesy says you should, at least, reply and acknowledge the other person's efforts.

Good 'ol @biglipsmama... she is a prime example of a community player and she goes out of her way to support bloggers she values! She's always a been a good pal to me :-)
You're so right @len.george, people used to talk to each other. These days, if people comment at all it's usually one-liners that don't invite further discussion. Threads used to get real long with conversation, but not so much now. And yes, when people got a reputation for not replying to comments, their support quickly withdrew because rudeness wasn't tolerated. Now any behaviour seems to be accepted and people will still vote for them! I do hope that through raising these issues more of us will make more effort to do what we used to do, and put more time into nurturing community again. I miss much about the 'good old days' of Steemit! But we move forward and try to turn these things around positively :-)
