I just wanted to let you know I powered up 20,000 STEEM, which will allocate more rewards with my upvotes. That's at least good news for the posts I vote for :P
Now when I vote for your posts, I get to allocate up to 3x more rewards than I previously was able to.

For an idea of what this change means in reward amounts: my 100% upvote allocated about $1.20 to posts. Now the increase in SP upvote is going to give over $3. If I upvote at 25% which was 30 something cents, now it will be around a dollar.
Prior to Hardfork 19, I think my now 25% -- but then 100% -- vote was around $0.15 $0.24. When the Hardfork hit my new 100% power went to just under $7. So from $0.60 $0.96(former 100% x 4), to $7 at first under the new HF, and then to $1.20, there seems to be about a doubling in voting power from HF18 to HF19. about 50% more power.
I just wanted to mention that for anyone who wanted to know how much the voting power has changed since the last hardfork. It's about double from what I can tell. But that's not exact, since it also depends on the amount of other users also voting to affect how much influence other SP holders have in their upvotes. The more users there are voting -- or higher SP users voting -- everyone previously voting will get a drop in the amount of dollars they reward when upvoting.
Well that's all I have to say relative to powering up and having more influence allocating rewards with upvotes :)

Its good to be a high-end hoe around here with folks at higher SP, not necessarily going on the street with the 1cent - 5cent. I just write stuff that I enjoy, I stop trying to get votes or anyone to follow me, given how things have progress, even when you do get above 5 dollars, come pay day it would be down to 2.50 - 3.00. But congrats, I take your reputation (76) over that 20,000 steem, I think you can leverage yourself and earn more votes if you get down on that mind game...if you know what I mean

Well its marketing, you show the amount of SP you have below every post with your reputation and account value and you would be surprise how much of a magic that does....check it out and a couple folks actually doing and its working quite well... we are attracted to what shines, what everyone wants, on this platform apart from having fun, we here to make a buck or two... you want to get a heavy following and tone of upvotes, does not really matter the content just market that account and folks would be voting without reading.....once you hit that sweet spot in folks mind, its what folks intend to get... now my account in laughable so I can't market myself like that so I am just having fun

I just recently powered up 11 hours ago Transfer 25.742 STEEM POWER to joedirt. Which may not seem to be much, but considering I had just over 36.38 SP prior to that - It is a HUGE investment for this minnow.

Good for you for powering up. This seems like about as good a "buying opportunity" as we're likely to get.
As a point of reference, my 100% upvote just gave you $1.03. I was just about starting to get to 40 cents with a 100% vote before HF19. Given a bit of extra SP from posting in the meantime, "about double" seems pretty much on the money. My much "weaker" account for my business has gone from "fractions of a cent" to about 4 cents on a full vote.

Ah yeah, I just checekd it's $0.24 at 100% before, makes more sense actually, I edited my post. So prior to HF and now, seems about 50% more power, 1/2 more, not double. What do you think?

I'm still figuring things out around this joint, but it sounds like you have it worked out. I've been following and resteeming you for awhile now and learning so much! Some other guy (not going to mention who) was telling people last month not to power up but I didnt trust him. So I've been putting all my little amounts into SP. Hope to be where ur at someday!

How can you calculate the amount your upvote is worth on the amount of steem power ya got? Just curious. I have been on here since June this year.
And one other question, what would be the amount of upvotes max per day? Does the posting also have an effect on the amount of upvote too?

$3 for 100% would give you around $30 a day in upvote power, give or take a few cents, thats $300 for 10 days and around 900 for a month, thats not even considering the USD price of steem that day...

I considered it as well, but couldn't justify having more Steem over BTC right now. That said, it was a personal decision, and if I didn't loan BTC on polo/finex I probably would have purchased and powered up a bunch.

How much do you mean loaning out BTC?
Loan rates vary, sometimes they are .05% per day, sometimes have been higher than .2%. On average in the 2 months I've been loaning it's been about .1% per day.
