Today I was talking to my friends, whom i invite to join Steemit and are new to it, and he did not understand why if the publication shows a value in $, he was receiving the rewards in SBD and SP and not in USD
I'll try to explain it the best way as I can XD
Suppose our publication says that we have $100, when we see the $ symbol we think they are USD, but in reality they are Steem Tokens, and this also explains why when the price of steem goes up or down, change the reward value your post shows About the symbol I imagine it is used since when 1 Steem Token = 1 $, something that is not like that anymore.
Then our publication is really 100 Steem Tokens and not 100 USD
Now of these $100 more or less 75% is for the author and 25% for the curators and this is because there is a range of 30 min for the human curators and at lower this time more percentage will be for the author and less for the curators.
If we calculate 75% of 100 we have that they are 75 Steem Token for the author, and this reward is divided 50% in SBD and 50% in Steem Power
Now we calculate 50% of 75 = 35.7
Then we have 37.5 SBD
37.5 between the Steem price assuming 7 would be 37.5 / 7 = 5,357 Steem Power
If the price of Steem = 7 the price of SBD = 8
We can calculate that a publication of $ 100 would be 37.5 SBD * 8 + 5,357 SP * 7 ~ = 337.50 USD
A few days ago I mentioned that I had programmed a script that did the calculation for example for my account this would be a summary of the week

with this you help me a lot and I can write content of better quality in the future.
Hmm it's simple math, but some newbies it`s hard to understsand it. Also they can make some tables or scripts as you say to calculate their pending rewards. Also lazy steemians may use steemnow.com to see their rewards.
I've thought about it, maybe make some images and graphics to make it easier to understand
steem.supply is one of the best I have seen for the calculation of reward but does not take into consideration the time in which the vote was made, nor calculates the reward for curation or the percentage of that reward is by auto vote, that is why I am motivated to do my own program for that purpose
In this case I'll agree with you, to make your own program will be much better! I wish you good luck. And I hope you future program ones will appear at steemtools.com! And one more moment, last evening I found such service steem.rocks, maybe it'll be interesting for you.
