RE: Over TWO DOZEN new Steemians have received Recognition Rewards so far ! ! !

Thank you for your initative! I am on the same track as you, mostly using my upvotes to support a lot of new users. I have been thinking a lot about donations as well ,and how they could be used to support people and grow the platform. I´m thinking that what you are doing is excellent, and that we could make this idea grow. One of my ideas is a patreon like model, where we could give monthly donations to support content creators that we appreciate. Ideally the whales and dolphins would be more generous. Let´s hope so!
Another idea that I´m interested in is collaborative whale accounts for different causes, like Universal Basic Income or Environmental work. So the whale acccount would have many investors, be run by democratic principles, and would be run by curators using multi-sig.
WE have already project curie, and the robinhoodwhale, which is aimed at curation, and we could have more of these as well. The governance structure should ideally be a DAO, although this might not be tecnically possible yet.
I hope I did not add to your information overload now!
What do you think?

Steemits success will be based around the quality of the content on the platform. Thus we must show new people they are welcome and useful ; but mainly we must show new arrivals they are being noticed.

Nothing is more disheartening than someone spending two hours or more crafting a post and getting no votes nor comments. Eight thousand people might have viewed and read this new post, but the Steemian has no way to know that . . .

Hopefully this will show new Steemians the importance of networking ! ! !

And yes donations to good causes but how to prove where the money goes ultimately would be difficult ; but a great innovation idea : )
