I want to share with you my top 5 favorite beaches to visit in Haiti.
First of all, DO NOT BELIEVE everything the media feeds you about Haiti.
Haiti is a beautiful Island worth visiting at least once in your life.
In case you didn't know Haiti is a country located in the Caribbean and shares the Island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic- We gained our independence in 1804 after we defeated Napoleon's French Army- We became the first Black Republic to be established at a time where slavery was still alive in the rest of the world and especially the United States- Our official languages are French and Creole.
Here are my 5 favorite beaches in Haiti-
No.1- Ile a Rat - Allegedly named by Columbus is one of the most beautiful of the island- Crystal clear warm water!
No.2 - Located in the South-East part of the country in a town named Jacmel- Jacmel Beach is a sight to be seen!
No.3- Wahoo bay beach is one of the most visited beaches near the capital of Port-au-Prince a beautiful beach resort which i enjoy going with friends and family on a weekend. Its only 1h from where i live.
No.4- Chouchou Bay- is located in the Northern part of Haiti-
No.5- Port-Salut located in the South has a beautiful white sand beach and right on the beach local farmers are there to prepare you Grilled Red Snappers or Freshly caught Lobster.
Hope you enjoyed this post!

Thanks so much for your comment. Haiti is really a great place. :)
Amazing! I learned that Haiti had some amazing beaches from a lot of people! I lived in Turks and Caicos for a brief stint and the Haitians natives were always comparing their beaches. It was all in good sport but I saw some amazing pictures they managed to bring with them.
Thanks for an awesome article!
And if you haven't, you should look up TCI!
Hi, I recently vacationed in Turks and Caicos- The beach is Breathtaking! We were a group of 5 girls. We enjoyed a very relaxing 3 days. Everywhere we turned we found Haitians working at bars and restaurants... which made it interesting because we felt right at home. I loved Turks but the only thing we complained about was the night life... Whats going on guys?! We couldn't find a club.... But the food, thought it was expensive , but OMG very good. Excellent food! Thanks for your comment i'll follow you- :) Take care!
That's really damn cool!
Sadly, yeah, the night life is definitely lacking down there! If you ever go again, you could check out Jimmy's Dive Bar in Grace Bay, that place can get pretty hoppin'! Also, Da Conch Shack has become a really big tourist destination and they have night parties and dances on the beach! Lot of good fun to be had there!
There used to be a really decent club down the main highway, we ended up picking up a bunch of crazy drunk Australians there at one point. But lord... that was maybe 10 years ago? I know the island has come up quite a bit in the ways of development but it has been some time since I was there!
Oh! And try Sweet T's by the airport. That place is OUTSTANDING. I swear... there must be drugs in their ketchup because it is unreal. (don't skip it!) Did you try Yoshi's?
I'll follow you back, awesome to meet you, @kitkat85!
