RE: Bad Whale

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Wow can't believe how many people post crap here just to get tossed a bone from @done. But this just goes to show the profit motive doesn't always work for the better. It's obvious this ecosystem rewards just the opposite of good content. I don't mean just the 200+ trying to flatter @done to get something from him, but the fact someone with a lot of money who's probably more interested in steem for its speculative value than for its curation value, and could just as easily use all steempower to reward bad content rather than good content. Not saying @done is doing that, but the potential is there. Which got me wondering @done if you are using your influence token to elect witnesses that have a commitment to make this social platform work the way it's advertised to work? That probably means less advantage for the privileged. Who's willing to follow the way of Christ and sacrifice self for the benefit of the whole?

Hey I think I'll write a post called Do You Have to be a Christian to Follow the Way of Christ? Not saying you aren't one (if you are one) but this just reminded me of a conversation I'm having on my website (www.kirbyhopper.com) about who's acceptable to God. My contention is it's all who do good, just like Peter said in Acts 10.
