Arma 3 - APEX WASTELAND GAMEPLAY

Hey guys, I wanted to introduce you to Arma 3.

If you have not seen or played the Arma series they are based on realism to the fullest and have tons of game modes, mods, maps and pretty much anything you would see in the military.

I have spent thousands of hours playing this game and it still kicks my butt, and it still gives me small heart attacks.

My favorite game mode is wasteland, wasteland is a mod that has a couple of factions. Opfor, which is a big group, blufor which is a huge group, and independent which is just you and whoever you choose to add to your group.

I have the most experience playing as a loaner on independent with a single friend or two. I have a lot of fun moving slowly through the landscape without a vehicle sneaking up on people and bases and taking people out. I used to be really into building bases in unique locations and trying to keep them from being destroyed or taken over.

So with wasteland you have countless vehicles, everything from Jets with a couple of runways to choose from for landing. Helicopters which are my favorite but put you at risk of being shot down. They have all kinds of tanks and trucks, cars, four wheelers, even UAV's you can control remotely.

They have a ton of weapons that are replicas of what is in the current modern warfare arsenal.

The maps are huge, and by huge I mean some of them take hours and hours just to run across on foot. By jet or helicopter this can be a short trip but even then can take a minute.

Here are two videos of some gameplay from last night. I'm still trying to figure out recording so that I catch the good moments and not the boring parts.
