I try and spend about 30 minutes per day wading through the garbage that is the new section, trying to find talented Steemit authors, it's hard because 95% of what I see is spam or bidbot promoted trash.
I don't let it discourage me, but it's hard because I want to do the same thing. Compile a list of great quality writers and promote them anyway I can, send them SBD tips and when I have enough Voting Power, give them nice upvotes (not these 2% upvotes many whales are giving out).
If you follow @whatamidoing, you'll find the good authors in his comments and resteems, etc.
We all know and understand what u say! Please do check out the #ecotrain tag where we have so many stunning stemmians posting really great content!
I just love when whales make lists like this! I come across pages that I really enjoy scrolling through the new, trending and hot pages but it takes a long time. Finding a list of great individuals like this is really helpful!

Yesssss I love it! My account has grown sooooo much! 15 new followers last night! Got this abundance thing flowin' now, @kennyskitchen. I'm just finding out about your project right now, and I've got to say, it's an awesome idea! I hope I'm not going to sound too harsh here but.. Fuck the government! It's all just meant to keep the people in power around, the those out of it, out of it for good. Keep fighting the good fight man, this is all amazing work you've done. The more good ideas and good people you bring into the light, the less room there is for all of the wickedness and evil that is so pervasive is this world to exist. I wish you the best of luck in what you're doing, I think it's really going to make a difference.
@kennyskitchen, this is a really nice gesture. It reminds me of the #payitforward contest (hosted by @thedarkhorse) that I have joined recently. In this contest, participants choose three steemians that they think produce good content and nominate them. I love that you are also doing something along this line.
I will definitely check out @tribesteemup and the content creators that you have featured; it is a good initiative that seeks to assist others. Thank you for doing this and keep up the good work. I found this post through @beggars who resteemed your post.
Haha, that's awesome. I ran a project called #payitforward last summer, when @randowhale first appeared (and we had n^2 rewards) where I would buy whale votes for people. Then a couple weeks later rewards became linear, so I stopped doing that particular thing.

I would love to be considered to join this group. Your anarchists to follow post was one of the first things I saw when I started properly on Steemit back in December and I used it to find my first bunch of people to follow.
Now, I'm mostly posting daily on health, psychedelics, energy healing and freedom, so I think I'd fit the bill.
