There is a short term and long term answer to that. If you want to try to make quick money and then leave steemit, write something everyday about whatever you are passionate about. Could be art or music or whatever your favorite subject is at school or writing short stories or researching other cryptos, figure out what makes you want to get up in the morning and write about that.
Then do what you can to get others to notice your posts by commenting on posts written by others on the same topic. Don't ask for follows or up votes but if you leave good comments, they might come and read your posts.
Then you'll soon be making some small steady payouts and you can sell the SBD you get. You can also power down the Steem Power you get, over 13 weeks, and sell the Steem.
If you are here for the long term, you might do the same, but instead of selling your SBD, you can convert it to Steem in the internal market and then Power Up that steem. Steem Power is what gives you curation rewards but you will need a lot of it to make any money. I have 10,000 SP and make 30 - 50 dollars a week, which is good for just voting for others. It takes a while to get that much SP though. But if you believe that Steemit is the future and will be here a while and the price of Steem will go up over time, then work it here and see where it takes you. Best wishes!
