RE: A Reminder: CREATION with no CURATION Puts Steemit Off-Balance... Hands Up Who Else Is Frustrated?!

in #steemit7 years ago

Great post, and so true. Curating is important....besides, there are so many excellent posts, articles and photos etc.
If someone has put in the effort to produce something original and interesting, then I feel they also deserve some recognition via upvote and sometimes resteem so that they get more views of their deserving work.
I try to encourage newbies to post quality posts....we were all newbies once.
I also like to welcome new people to Steemit.
I personally find it irritating when someone either writes a banal comment on my posts which have no relevance to the subject, or else beg for upvotes and resteem..and worst of all follow..but leave absolutely no feedback of my post whatsoever.

Too true @katdvine! It's a bit of a slap in the face when you spend all this time and put your heart into a post and get very little feedback. Or banal comments, as you say. I know you've also been on Steemit for a good long time now, and it's got a totally different vibe now hasn't it? I like that Steem price is good now, but at the cost of community?... not sure if it's worth it. If it becomes just a money-making platform then I'm pretty sure I'll lose interest. I love feedback way more than money!!!
