I have been speaking to the chat on Cryptopay. They have been really patient with me as I am really no good at all this so wanted to know the ins and outs.
Cryptopay are trying to sort something to replace the pre-paid card, other than that there is an option to withdraw via your bank or Paypal.
I was annoyed I had to wait 15 days after having to ask for the card on my money to be refunded, I went on to my account this morning and the money has been refunded automatically which has saved me from dealing with WaveCrest, so my money is back sitting in my account. I have now got to decide whether I want to use Paypal or wait until they come up with something else to take the cards place,
Its a waiting game now, what do you use and what do you think will happen?

I'm in the Netherlands. Have been using my Xapo Debit Card for about 2 years now, never had a problem. I just tried it out in a shop, got "refused". So, it's real! I've taken my bitcoin out of Xapo immediately. What the heck is going on?
There has been a problem with Visa and WaveCrest, not sure what's happened but they cancelled the cards straight away. If you have funds on your card you may have to apply for a refund. :)
whole bunch of cards and services used the gilbratar based company wavecrest for cards, visa shut them down for some reason, i just signed up with a canadian company called shakepay, they were effected as well ;(
I hope they sort this out soon, a lot pf people are affected by this move
they will find another supplier, they have too. they are into this too deep and they want the customers because they all have an exit strategy. it's a big blow and says a lot about the companies that they all went to this 'wavecrest' company to do it.
They need a replacement they can rely on as there are too many people involved. Thankfully my money has been refunded :)
yeah for sure, i'd love to know the backstory as to what 'wavecrest' did or did'nt do. maybe they were not greasing the right monkeys along the route :)
Sounds odd especially with not getting any notice, it must have been bad as we are usually pre-warned
this will create a vacuum - and when there is a vacuum there is room for another player to come into the market. I'd say sit and wait for a few month and see what come out of the woodwork.
I think instead of there being just one company everybody uses, there will be at least ten - some good, some not so good.
You just have to figure out which are the good ones ;-)
I will wait and read reviews before I make a decision, let other try them out as I am a wimp lol :)
Got the same problem with Cryptopay. Wait a bit / I was very happy until now to use cryptopay. Will have a look at UQUID.
All prepaid visa cards have been cancelled without warning. Not just Cryptopay.
Any updates? It's been a couple days, and despite the weekend, they should have it sorted out.
