Thanks Steemit Community. This is a dream come true.

The new MacBook Pro Steem machine.

It has been a whole day since I've made a Steemit post. This is an uncomfortably long gap in blog frequency for me.

I've been down to Tokyo and back to buy a new computer, check out some BTC friendly locations, and meet a fellow anarchist for some beers in the city.

Yesterday I wandered the twisted spaghetti underground of the sprawling Tokyo Metro and went to Ginza to accomplish my main objective for the trip: to buy the computer on which I am currently typing this entry.

When I say "dream come true" I am not exaggerating. I have been eyeing this computer for a long while now, but never knew it would soon be within my reach thanks to blogging on a blockchain-based social media site. It's truly wild, and I couldn't be happier. I just converted some Steem to Bitcoin, went down to one of the biggest electronics stores in Japan (which is currently accepting Bitcoin) and made my move. (I also bought a LEGO set for my son paid for entirely in BTC :))

Now to get back to writing. Tons of stuff to do and lots of interviews to set up here in Voluntary Japan world over the next week. Can't wait to use this beast to its full potential when it comes to higher quality content creation now! Thanks again to all those who read, comment, upvote, agree, disagree, debate, and interact/engage with this blog.

nice computer. makes my 2009 macbook pale in comparison. congrats

That is really nice to see your steem efforts paying off in real workd. May all of our dreams come true :). In a long run we should be in a great shape. Thanks for sharing this experience. You really paid for lego with btc directly?

Congratulations on the new computer friend :) It looks beyond amazing.
Ive been thinking of buying one myself but currently my budget doesn't allow me to.
Hope you make the best of it and use it with love.
Much support from me and all the best of wishes.

Wow congrats on achieving this truly epic dream! Who knows, soon you'll be buying your next home with cryptos! And your son his first car! Steem on @kafkanarchy84, Steem on!

Haha! That's the plan. Cheers, @adam.angel!

Say what you want about apple, there something about aesthetic and feel of a Macbook in your lap that makes you want to get shit DONE! Glad you were able to get yourself a new tool by blogging.

Congrats, Graham. Very cool. :)

Thanks, Luke!

Amazing that you could buy this computer. Shows 3 things - 1) Your connect and dedication to Steemit blogging - with quality blogs 2) Monetization of blogs is a reality 3) Bitcoin has acceptance in wider and wider circles now

Thanks for this inspiring post. I hope to be able to accumulate enough steem some day to buy stuff solely off my monetization of blogs. Right now I can probably afford to by a packet of pencils on my earnings :) LOL

I request you to visit my latest blogs when you have time and leave your valuable comments. I have posted a blog about a mystique boat ride on the river Ganges :) and some wildlife blogs including a winking lioness with photos taken by me accompanied by my musings about them.

A year ago, I did the same and picked up a Razer Blade Stealth. It's been my trusty steem engine ever since :)

Enjoy your hard earned gift to yourself!
Hope you get lots of use out of it by bringing us kickass content!

This site is so freaking awesome, with a bunch a great people on it. I am so glad someone I know mentioned it and I saw the post. I am here more than any social media site since finding Steemit. Love it.

Gratz on your new laptop bud! I got a new lenovo yoga recently, I just love it!

Cool! Sincere congratulates 💫

I'm trying to keep the green-eyed envy away! LOL First @reddust and now you... I need a mac. It's coming. My birthday is in December. It's on my wish list!

That is so cool. I was wondering how your trip went. Okay this might seem a "dumb" question but w/the BTC transaction how did you pay? Is there like a BTC card you can swipe?

Not at all. I used my BTC wallet (bread wallet) on my phone, scanned the QR code they provided at the store, and the transaction was sent.

Awesomeness

Namaste from India. Nice to see your handwork paying off! Would love to have a laptop like that someday. Keep up the good work my friend.

Ok, thats actually awesome knowing that its helped change someones life

Wowwwe! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You totally deserve it.

My old Mac book pro 2012 died about two weeks ago and I've been steeming on my phone and on my work pc. I also hope to make some good steem money to buy a new compoota!

I'll keep this post in mind if I ever get down 💓

That macbook looks superb and am happy for you. Thanks for sharing and keep steeming

Steemit has great potential as a financial tool. Wondering if somebody has used to send money to family members in another country.

Congratulations on your success! I hope I could also buy things in the future thanks to Steemit!
I would be very happy for the Last Guardian: An Extraordinary Story (book) and The Last Guardian Collector's Edition (PS4) game and also a PS4 (Pro) console.
I already watched the whole walkthrough 3 (three) times and I'm watching it for the fourth time!
Amazing game, amazing story, amazing soundtrack!
It's really give me strength in every day life! I love it!
Why PS4 Pro? Because I heard that the game have frequent framedrops on the regular PS4.
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend! Enjoy Steemit!

That's a very nice achievement. Congratulations on the new computer.

Nice machine, congrats. That's probably the only thing I would spend my Steem on today. Thanks to @roomofsatoshi, I hope to be able to pay for it directly with Steem.

I love all of your posts , I'm your Fan!

Congrats on your dream come true! Good things really do happen!

That is awesome! I have the same in my wishlist - well actually, an ipad pro or macbook. But who knows?! I just need to put my head more into steemit and then hopefully soon!

Thanks for the information you share with me

Yes steemit is perfect. It's beautiful to know that you're not just reading good stuff, but just your attention can help another. And if you remember that this person shares your convictions, for example, NAP, and by your attention you help him to continue his work ... There are no words.

Hi @kafkanarchy84 good luck I hope you will get more than that and hopefully your dreams are achieved: D

Struggling steadily

I hope you have soon more steem :)

Wow Congratulations. It is so good seeing someone who earned from Steemit and bought something. Hoping to do that someday too. You deserve it cheers man.

I would like a new MacBook too :)

Very nice laptop.
Now lets take steeming to another level.

Congratulations on your purchase of this great tool. Just think of the untold thousands, nay millions of people that that tool will accomplish in bringing people closer to freedom and a truly decentralized world. I'm glad to be one of those million.

Congrats on the new laptop, it looks great although the keyboard is a bit small. But who am I to judge, I'm typing this on a 1GB RAM slow as a turtle laptop lol.

Which is definitely the best investment besides Steem..... congrats bro****

outstanding job! Love Japan! lived there for 2.5 years before moving back to states!!!

Awesome! I just opened my steemit account. How long did it take you to reach this goal??
