I've seen a few posts on this subject before. Check the #steem tags. There was one with a heat map of users, something like "Seoul is the capital of Steem, with Australia showing up in style" If I can find it again I'll link to it!
But I agree it would be really cool to get some more specific demographics stats on this community.
