Yeah, I totally understand the feeling. I think there are several reasons that might explain this. First of all, I recommend you use this site to see who REALLY follows you: http://steemit.deadfollowers.info/. Then, well, I think maybe sometimes we are being followed by bots, it could be a flaw in the platform. And finally, well I think that many steemit members don't take the time to read articles and curate them. They just go and post, that is the only thing that interests them, for whatever reason. Don't give up!

Yeah... for the people that just goes on steemit to post random stuff that has little to no value... I dunno why they are on steemit... just for money I guess :P Cause I have seen several crappy pointless posts here lately :P Thanks for your support, Jessica! :)
Think 75 percent are on here for money. There is a lot of crap getting upvotes. Just seems wrong. Someone posts something new up and within 5 minutes has 60 votes and $100. There may be a few genuine ones but majority don't care as long as they are making money.
Yeah, the point is to find geniune people to unite with :) Thats what my Discord page is for the Steemit Promo Server. You can join us too on Discord if you want to communicate with us steemians and help you get more exposure long term: https://discord.gg/WmxRnc3
Yeah, well, unfortunately, there are a lot of shit posts and it is hard to avoid them on a platform like this. However, I think there are some members helping out and flagging shit posts from time to time. As for the money, well, it's human nature and there will always be greedy people. I think we should just focus on community building on Steemit and less on the money. Everyone likes making some bucks, nothing wrong with that, but I believe it shouldn't be the main focus here.
Yeah I agree, I want to focus on building my community first above anything else. What I earn here is almost nothing so far at this time so the interaction with people here should go first and has a lot more value long term too than just being a sell out on steemit! :)
Ohh and when you get the chance, read this post too... the relationship issue thingy I told you about on Discord: https://steemit.com/love/@denoxblogger/30-years-old-and-no-real-romantic-experience-with-a-woman-denox-s-story-part-1 I will really appreciate you feedback and advice on this.
