Ibadan Steemit community is made up of inspiring ladies and gentlemen ever ready to add value to the steemit community and carry eachother along. Here are some brilliant piece you can digest and make your steemit journey merrier. It's quite lengthy but worth reading.
Many happen on Steemit with high hopes and because they were promised earnings when they write, they forget about gaining an understanding of themselves.
Before Steemit there has always been social medias and this should tell you Steemit is more than a social media, it is an Ivy League social media platform. To be on this platform means you need to keep asserting yourself and getting better bearing in mind you will be the better for your toil at the end of the day irrespective of the earnings. Don't get me wrong, the earnings motivates but if you can just remember how motivated you are on instagram, Snapchat and Facrbook you will get the drift.@ejemai
This is mentorship
There is mentorship in whatsapp too
There is mentorship in STACH
If you notice I try a rather different approach. I try to inspire and challenge people and make them givers.
I believe that the people in steemit who thrive don't wait for anyone they go out there. They are proactive. They can google information and
They help others
Look at the people that get delegation from whales like stellabelle. These guys despite their own challenges look for ways to help people within the platform and outside too🤗
My first encounter wit Ehiboss was when be was bashing me that I should use the Nigerian tag. Yes ooo. It was bashing.@tojukaka
I was looking at people like @samstickkz, how he created tutorials, @surfermarley how she made her blog posh. @stellabelle how she had a heart for the lowly people. @flawy, @ejemai,even @ogochukwu
There was a time @ogowinner told me to Change the title of my post or else she won't upvote it.
Talking about mentorship. When the hub is fully launched we are going to be having Cryptocurrency classes daily!
It's going to be a STACH academy program.
The hub is going to be a steemit educational center
Topics like the purpose, origin, morality of Cryptocurrency.
History of money
Consensus algorithms
Decentralised autonomous applications are going to be in the curriculum
And of course most importantly, how to do Steemit etc@akintunde
Steemit is Value for Value
People that will do well on steemit are those who will go out of their way to "SELF DISCOVER STEEMIT"@gee1

Chai! Nowadays young people don't want to pay their dues! Haba... Y the long long story about what to do?
Stop being lazy or laid back! Do your research! Trade secrets are not dropped into any body's laps! They are found by people who diligently search for answers, who invest time and effort (and sometimes money) to discover the best ways forward.
Ask the right questions without being offensive, no one owes anyone any information, yet soo many are ever ready to share!
On this group alone, several trade secrets have been shared, what have we done with that?? On the Steemit welcome page too, practically all the basics are covered there. Do we even bother to read these things?
For those of us who aren't natural writers, do we really take time out to read people's posts, the good ones I mean? Emulate what they do? Have we invested in any books on writing skills?
What are you doing to develop yourself? No one chooses mentors for anyone, you should look for someone who looks like what you want to be and request to be mentored by them... Even that is not automatic.
I think you said it all boss. It's a really delicate balance. Learning to know who you are and what you're capable of...also learning to leverage on relationships...learning to apply emotional intelligence...it all makes Steemit a unique platform different from the stereotypes people are used to.@funshel
@topebanks
@surpassinggoogle just created a new channel to address questions by newbies and how to succeed I think it's @steemsecrets
My activeness on Steemit just began about 3wks ago, but, I know I'll make a massive success out of it like I've done on other social media platforms. Will advise newbies to research (I do at least 6hrs of research on Steemit everyday) & study successful steemians, then, create your own path, be you! You don't necessarily have to post like "the big guns", just be you & be top-notch.
Would also advise peeps to have a game plan. Set goals. I targeted $100 earning on Steemit in February (made $22 already), two posts per day, a total of 500 comments in the month of February, at least two contests per week (by the way, I won another contest just today). Cos truth is, 'cos you're new, you need to put yourself out there & build reputation. @Ejemai @Tojukaka and the likes have paid their dues, they're in auto cruise now. You run 🏃 your own race.@selah

The hustle is so real we forget ourselves. Steemit is hard-smart work.
Newbies in the house, if you really need mentorship, there are a lot out there. Search for airclinic and bluewaves. They'll literally mentor you like you a baby. (both on discord)
Whatsapp is cool to have fun. But try to leave whatsapp n go discord. Discord got the stuff.
Don't look at other people to make you bad. Steemit is just like life, enjoy it n do what makes you happy.
And don't just collect, give to other people. Today you are minnow, tomorrow when you become a whale, remember all you've been through and try to help in anyway.
Remember you may be a leader on Steemit too someday. Could be tomorrow, next month or next year, know that you are a leader for all and not for some. Be like a big tree whose roots dig deep.
All newbies here, enjoy Steemit and have the best time mining with value.
Hope to meet you all in good health n wealth during the meet up.
Going through all these messages makes me want to attend the meet up by all means...I mean lot of intelligent people. My own input which @Tojukaka has mentioned in one of his posts is ....believe and act like a whale. A whale just go about his business. Don't get desperate and start begging people for follow or upvote. I don't know if I am the only one that find it somehow for something you don't know to slide to my DM asking for upvote to win a contest or for a post...the best way to get unsolicited upvotes is to go to the dolphins, orcas and whales posts and drop good comments. Do it regular and they will get notice. It can be hard to get the attention of a whale because of the volume of comments they get. Just do it anyways. Drop nice comments on posts you can relate with it and see people checking out your blog and giving u upvotes if your posts are good. Again, you can slide into people DM and ask question, a sensible person will consider it an honour. But never beg...whales find a way. They don't beg....you don't want brand yourself as that guy that begs for upvotes.@adejoke

There are three options to make it here
- Put in work
- Put in some money
- Put in both work and money
Option 3 is dope. That's the best recommended option!
Thank you boss.... we will keep encouraging each other. On steemit, no straight line graph if you are not making money @d moment don't worry be happy.
If there's anything you need to know don't be too shy to ask questions we have a lot to learn from each other. If you can't make it open go inbox I can bet it if you ask here you will have more than 5 people responding to you. Though sometime you DM some people and they insult you like me adon collect insult taya 🤣😂😃😁 especially when you are in a contest but i don't give a dmn.
Just because you are making 0.005$ doesn't mean you can't make 500$. Don't let that stop you rather let it grow you.
One Love@jo5h
Yesterday @tojukaka asked with all humility how to undelegate sp that goes along way to tell you nobody's got it all. He didn't feel too big to make it open. You can't exhaust steemit because the platform get better on a daily basis.
Shout out to @tojukaka, @ejemai, @akintunde, @phait, @fi, @japfive and @everyone in da building..... Thanks for being there..... You guys rock....
