COMMUNICATION AND ITS PROCESS.

Communication: It's the process of transmitting message or information as the case maybe from one person to another, so that what is transmitted can be understood and acted upon.

On the other hand it's the transferring of messages, feelings, and ideas from the source to the receiving end.

Communication sometimes determines the friends we make, the crisis we provoke, the war we fight and the peace we enjoy.

#Intra-personal : at this level a person communicate with himself. This process helps the individual to understand himself, appreciate his potential and weaknesses.

#Inter-personal: this is transmission of information or message from one person to another. It basically involves two people.

#Multi-personal: this is the level of communication which involves more than two people. It can also be referred to as group communication.

#Extra-personal: this refers to a level of communication which direct the communication event from human being to non human.

#REASONS FOR COMMUNICATION
-We communicate to inform

• we communicate to educate
• we communicate to entertain
  -we communicate for social interaction

Communication may also involve non-verbal means such as Body language, Facial expressions, image and pictures.

#ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION
-ENCODER: (source). This is a person giving the message. The encoder is the initiator of the communication process.

-MESSAGE: (information ). It is the text in communication. The message could be a policy statement a report, pleasantries or a joke. A message could be simple, complex, overt, covert.

-DECODER OR RECEIVER: this is another human elements in the communication process. The receiver is described as the final link. And the audience of the message. The receiver receive and process the message from the sender and send reaction in form of feedback.

-CHANNEL: this is the method or medium of transmitting the message. This could be through radio station, television, magazines, ET cetera..... The choice of channel is considered by the nature of the information.

-FEEDBACK: this is an important element in communication and it is the turning point in the communication process, it shows the sender that the message reached its destination.
