Common question people ask is "is there a way to get big without lifting heavy weights?"
If you want to get big, you would usually need to lift heavy weights however...... there is a way that is proven where it doesnt require lifting heavy weights. It is usually used by people who go off lifting heavy for a while to rest their joints.
It is known as OCCLUSION or less scientific term BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION TRAINING. Many of the top athletes and health gurus would know about this technique but it is less known to normal people.
Occlusion training is basically when blood is restricted to the exercising muscle. This is done by wrapping cuffs around a limb, however this does not interfer with the arteries which makes it safe as long as it is not extremely tight.
In order to use this technique, a person must tie a cuff or a wrap around a limb and then pick up weights which are pretty light (for example 5kg/10lb dumbells for curls).
You must then do around 20 reps and feel it burn. This would also make your arms look huge almost like its about to explode.
Keep doing this for around 3-4 sets and move on to the next workout. I like to untighten the cuffs after each exercise so that fresh blood is supplied to the area and then once i start another exercise ill tighten them back up.
This technique is excellent for growth and for people who want to feel a whole new level of burn. Remember its never about the weight that you lift rather its about how much the muscle is actually being worked on.
