LIFE IS DYSFUNCTIONAL. But you and me are NOT!

Life is screwed up. What should be, isn't. What should NOT be... is.. how does that make sense? I EXPLAIN

Laughing-Smiley-small.png

I spend a lot of time, just like you do, trying to learn the ways of life.. things to do (and NOT do)... to navigate the weirdness of the path to success...

Each individual person alive right now, is a pawn or player in the game of life.

The game of life seems quite difficult, not fair, and dysfunctional.

Look at any aspect of your life. Does this seem normal? What you are doing now, do you want to do for 30 years? The answer is probably NO, and NO again.

As human beings, we need to make money to survive. So yes... we will sit in rush hour road traffic multiple times a day. Yes, we will go to the same workplace, do the same job, and expect the same pay...

It just seems weird...

Where the conditions of life themselves aren't weird...

What is weird is that every single person seems to accept this as normal.

IT IS NOT NORMAL

A hamster spinning on a wheel thinks the circular wheel is normal.

Q: Are you a hamster? NO?
A: So why do you do the daily grind and still spin your wheels?

Cuz that is what all of us have to do... to earn our grocery money, buy things, and enjoy our weekend.

You already know that the way people life life is wrong.. say something about it!

Expressing yourself is the first step in admitting this is not normal

...and that's a positive way of looking at it. We already know it. So saying it out loud just re-enforces what we already know.

Sort:

We need to learn, or improve, to maximise our time. Time is the most precious resource we have available, yet, most of us are also most wasteful with it.

As long as you live, keep learning how to live.
~ Seneca, Stoic philosopher

While in life there are many things we must do in order to survive (many should read this as to be lived), we need to learn to add value for oneself in the little available time we have.

While many will consider value, and living, as something dictated to us by the media and advertising - this can be value - more often it is much more valuable to discover and find what stimulates us, our mind ourselves. The search for that discovery isn’t necessarily the easiest thing in life but it is definitely a worthwhile quest as it will improve the quality and experience of the little time we have available.

Most definitely, in that time, we should NOT chase something dictated to us as quality. Remember that we can not control the external elements but only control how we ourselves experience the moment.

Caretake this moment. Immerse yourself in its particulars. Respond to this person, this challenge, this deed. Quit evasions. Stop giving yourself needless trouble. It is time to really live; to fully inhabit the situation you happen to be in now.
~ Epictetus, Stoic philosopher

Time is the most precious resource we have available, yet, most of us are also most wasteful with it.

Well said!

Unfortunately, this is something that HAS to be done, working and grinding the wheel I mean.

What is an option (unless you were born filthy rich but I dont know about you, but I am not) is choosing a desirable and easy going path.

Yes we have to make a grind every now and then to achieve a goal, but this does not define who we are.

I find I am making some nice grinding decisions by choosing different routes (living in an easy going place (no money though) and going to live in a big paying country (in process) but the fact remains, we have to.

It does take the attention off who we are and who we want to be in terms of who we want to be towards our loved ones. Are we the person that makes somebody proud (achievement BUT also love giving wise), or are we the person that takes it all for granted.

The sun comes up every day for free, yet being a person people like to be around is not. I like to think that I am this person (i hope my friends and family agree to this haha)

To elaborate just because I do it over and over again does not mean I achieve different results.

To be honest I never thought of living in front of a computer for most of my adult life. Yet here I am using it for work and personal life. Recently some unfortunate circumstances happened to me but has somewhat turned into a little positive where by I use computers less.

Reality is I am human and feel as though I waste my life away everyday when I just sit in front of a computer for 10 hours straight doing something over and over again. Just like the hamster spinning his wheel. For now I just have to be positive about it as I too have no real way of getting out of this. Thanks for letting me vent though ;)

!! WoW man - how true so true (how 'r Y.O.U.!) sigh
Whelp.
I hope you will finally find my most recent post to be semi~substantive(!) Man, it is a rant (which I can do well on some topics!) Imagine my surprise after writing it and dug deep into tha Steemit archives to retrieve your blog... saw this! Rock on good sir . . . STEEM On -

Kafka wrote about all of us.

life will be easy if we understand it first

there lies the rub (-:

You don’t need to understand life. You just need to know to live [rather than be lived].

Most of the things in life we have no control over. What we control tho, or can learn, is how we react to them. And thus our perception of life.

This is life and we have to accept it.

hellz yeah (-: i wrote just yesterday something like "everyone interesting is by definition weird", only unusual types are original ... i mean in my daily life i'm pretty normal, but in my head there's some weird stuff happening ... it's like that for many, but the key is admitting it (-:
